General Info

Dallas County Community College District, established in 1965, is located in Mesquite, Texas. It has seven colleges with more than 50,000 students. Each college is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. It offers a number of programs for youth, including music and sports lessons, reading and writing improvement, test preparation, Spanish and math. Its senior adult courses, activities and schedules include computer instruction, art and music, wellness and physical fitness, trips for fun and education, money and career matters, special events and volunteer opportunities. It offers classes in a variety of languages, such as Arabic, Chinese, English, Farsi, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish. It offers job skills in accounting, aviation, business management, computer skills, electronics, health careers, mediation and welding. It also offers courses of personal interest, including art, physical fitness, gardening, home d cor, music, financial management and language studies.
