Overall

It takes a long time to nurture and work towards a dream and a few minutes to shatter. This is pretty much what happened in my case.

I grew up with a dream of settling down in this wonderful country as a young child and I pursued this dream further with my application of employment based green card. I ensured that all my I’s were dotted and T’s crossed when I switched employments and still was rewarded by an undated letter from immigration services stating that my application was denied.

It was god’s blessing that I heard of Mr. Valko and his firm from a friend of mine. To say they were my knights in shining armor would be an understatement. The team was very patient with my persistent (and sometime repeated) emails and usually responded within a couple of hours of my query. With a lot of free advices that I was receiving from friends and colleagues on how I should be leaving the country asap, Mr. Valko helped me understand on how this would be a terrible waste of resources. He was always a step ahead on this game and knew the when, why and how in my situation. He not only made USCIS reverse their decision, but he also made them apologize.

There is no other person or firm I would ever turn to in an event of need and their professionalism is something I aspire to emulate.

Overall

I would highly recommend Mr.Valko to anyone looking for an immigration service. I went to Mr.Valko to get my work visa done and within 2 weeks all my paperwork was prepared and filed. In the next couple of weeks i even got my approval. They have been extremely meticulous in their paperwork and that increases our chances of getting approval from the immigration dept.

Mr. Frost, may have gone to Law school and graduated from a prestige school but people skills you learn that at home. Mr. Frost, told me and my husband who was in deportation since 1998 from an asylem case, and detained for 4 weeks in 2011, .without any criminal background or tickets. Mr. Frst told us that we have to sale our house, business and get ready to get out of this contry without shaking our hands and giving any legal advice. we when with Mitchelle Saenz-Rodriguez firm in Dallas, Tx. We where treat it like a family...... always!!!!, never false hopes, but never, ever, give up on our case. work hard as she could, letting us know any step of the way. turn in I-30 and I-485 together on September 2012, finger printed October 2012. Got a interview letter for February 15th, 2013. I-30 was approved on the spot but we where advice to wait until a supervisor review his case. president's day, the following monday (february 18th), inmigration closed.mitchelle Saenz-Rodriguez got a phone call from the officer who interview us, and told her, my husband was ready to go!!!!!!! his I-485 was approved and and a officially a GREEN CARD HOLDER! 5 months later!!!!

Foster, you may have a great office location but you are as far away from been wherever you wnat to be and proyect, as long you don't change they way you take your cases and clients. usually, inmigrants are people that not only come to make a better future in this contry, family oriented back ground, and that what you lack of!

as I said, before............ SAYONARA

Thank you for your comment, “mphamem”. We’re glad to see that your husband’s case was ultimately resolved. We take comments from clients very seriously. Though your review makes it appear as we only had one consultation, our firm did in fact represent your husband diligently. As you are aware, our efforts resulted in him being released from detention. This case was not your ordinary run-of-the mill detention case – he had an outstanding order of deportation. Detained individuals in this predicament do not have a right to a bond. Thus, it’s more difficult to release such individual than someone without a prior order. And in all fairness, we had previously advised you that your husband’s immigration situation should be analyzed, before he was even detained. After he was released, you decided to terminate our services as we worked on correcting his immigration situation. Again, we are pleased with the outcome and he is able to remain in the U.S. with his family. And we understand that people have the right to voice their opinion whenever they chose to do so, but in this case, the reader should have the facts clarified.

I am a Human Resource Manager at a Fortune 500 company with over 100 locations in 12 countries. We have been working with Martin Valko and his employment-based immigration team at Chavez & Valko for almost 5 years and our experience has been great. Martin’s team handles all of our immigration and employer compliance needs, and to date has successfully completed over 150 matters. The cases include H-1B, L-1A, L-1B and TN petitions, the respective visa applications at consulates, PERMs, I-140 petitions, green card applications as well as applications for employment and travel authorizations. They are very professional, prompt to answer our calls and emails (even during holidays and weekends), and they navigate through the maze of complex laws with absolute ease. For example, with longer green card wait times, they skillfully prepared new labor certifications and petition in the faster category so that several of our employees received their green cards faster. The major advantage of working with Martin’s team over large national immigration law firms we used in the past is that Martin’s team is quick, efficient, and reliable and the end result is a great value to the company. I can call Martin or any other team member for a quick chat without having to schedule the meeting in advance, and I don’t receive an itemized invoice for such a call which is very important to us in this economy.

Overall

Honestly I don’t like so much this kind of reviews but in this case I’m really proud to write it, because everyone need to hear that Martin Valko and his firm is incredible.

He is professional, efficient and he has a lot of patience.

We have been living in Dallas since 6 months ago and Martin Valko and his team help us to get the E-1 visa.

Shannon Bunch his paralegal is also wonderful, she always help us, answering all our questions, always taken our calls again and again.

When we went to Mexico consulate the vice-counsel was impressed of the business package that we gave him, he said that is the best file that he ever seeing.

I completely recommend you that anything that has to do with immigration do it with Martin Valko and his firm.

Congratulations!!!

We would like to thank Mr. Val...

We would like to thank Mr. Valko and his paralegal, Jessica for their help and hard work. My husband is from Mexico and has been here since he was eight years old. Originally, we contacted Mr. Valko's office to help my husband get a visa. In the meantime, the new Deferred Action came out and Mr. Valko suggested that we go this route since it appeared that my husband met the criteria. Immigration received my husband's application for Deferred Action in September 2012, he went to his biometrics appointment in mid-October 2012, received an approval notification in mid-November 2012 and three days letter received his work permit in the mail. Now, he has his Social Security card and driver license. No more worries that my husband will go to work one day and not return home because he was picked up by immigration. Again, we are so thankful and appreciative for the great work Mr. Valko and Jessica have done for us. They always return your call or email very quickly and you don't always get that kind of service from attorney's offices. Mr. Valko exuded confidence in our case and his expertise and that in turn eased our minds a great deal. We felt like we were treated as human beings by people who cared about our situation. There is still more to do and we will stay with Mr. Valko because we can trust him. If he can help you, then he will. If he cannot help you, he will be honest and tell you so. If you have any immigration issues, this is the office to go to. We have recommended Mr. Valko to other family, our friends and strangers that we have heard are in need of immigration assistance. Vanessa & Felipe Rosas

Mr. Valko and his paralegal, J...

Mr. Valko and his paralegal, Jessica Morales, assisted my husband and I with my change of status (I-485). I was on a F1 visa prior to my adjustment of status. I had heard of this law firm from a friend who was in a similar situation than mine (this word of mouth is quite evident of the quality of work done by this firm). After hearing her experience, I had no doubt that this was the law firm I was going to go with for our case. Mr. Valko, although of such high stature, was down to earth and was very honest in explaining the process of our case. He also has a sense of humor which eased the situation (a good laugh is always healthy)!! Jessica, was extremely helpful and exceptionally efficient with any queries I had (trust me, I had many). It was guaranteed that I would get my questions answered by her by end of the day. The day before our interview, we realized that we had forgotten a piece of paperwork at home, which I might add was 3 hours away from the site of interview. Mr. Valko personally returned my call to alleviate our distress. My distress was further relieved when my change of status was granted and I now have my permanent residence “YAY”!!! I would definitely recommend this law firm for any immigration issues!!!

Disappointed

I hired this law firm to help with my adjustment of status I based everything on the first consultation and then I read really great reviews online so I went ahead and hired their services. Before hiring their services I had consulted with other law firms and everyone had said that my case was a simple case I just needed to file the paperwork and wait for everything to get processed and it shouldn't take more than 3-4 months. Well the firm is taking a long time to file the paperwork. Every time I try to contact them I have to leave a voicemail. They always call back telling me that I am missing paperwork therefore they can't send my papers out. I don't understand why they are taking such a long time. We paid the full amount as well as made out the money orders that would cover the filing fees. So basically they have everything but I don't understand why they are taking such a long time to file my paperwork. If I would've known that this was going to happen I should've just gone elsewhere. Also I know they have lost some of my paperwork because I made copies out of everything I gave them and they call me telling me that they are missing paperwork that I know for a fact I had giving them. I'm just so disappointed I can't wait for the case to move along so we can be done with this law firm.

Hello “siguad006”, Thank you for your comment. We take comments from prospective as well as current clients very seriously because we pride ourselves in our customer service. I can assure you that all cases get processed expeditiously if in fact we have all of the necessary supporting information and documentation. Few weeks ago I had personally filed an adjustment of status case 4 business days after the client retrained my services or as soon as the client obtained the medical evidence. The case was processed by USCIS within 3 months and the client is a very happy conditional resident. Since you did not indicate who you are, and we are unable to locate you in our database, I ask you to personally call me at 214-251-8011 so that I can personally review your case. You can also email me at info[at]keyvisa[dot]com. Thank you.

I was a conditional permanent ...

I was a conditional permanent resident whose marriage had ended in a divorce. In order to retain my permanent residency status I had to file I-751 with a waiver for good faith marriage. I had consulted a handful of attorneys first before meeting with Mr. Valko. The first consultation with him made me feel very comfortable to work with him on my case. He was very knowledgeable about the laws related to my situation, what evidence can be presented, and fairly confident in a potential successful approval. Mr. Valko and Jessica guided me with ease, comfort and efficiency through the whole process. They assisted me with preparing my sworn affidavit, and their professionalism, knowledge, care, dedication and attention given to my case are very much appreciated. They were always available to answer any questions, to help with my evidence gathering. I had great experience working with Mr. Valko and his immigration team. I am very glad to have chosen Mr. Valko to represent me. After consulting with some of the highly rated attorneys in town before meeting him, I definitely will be recommending him for any immigration legal services from here on

This is crazy!

I don't doubt that the other attorneys are good, I'm sure they are but I'm gonna talk about Gary Frost. Gary Frost is amazing. I called the law firm in tears and he made me see that I was over stressing about something that was not even a problem at all.

My abusive ex boyfriend (who is like totally trashy and lame) filed a k-1 petition and talked me into signing it during the time that I was on zoloft and xanax (due to the stress in the relationship), which I did (love makes people act stupid)

Later on, when I realized he cheated on me, I cancelled it.

My main concern was knowing that this would cause trouble later on (like for example when I go to the states on vacation because me and my family have been going there since I was like two). I was stressed and I appreciate his kind words (which meant so much to me) as well as his legal advice. He broke with all the stereotypes of the mean and cold attorneys.

I had read the reviews online and I thought this firm would be good for me and fiancé. We made an appointment and went for an initial consultation. When we went in, there were not any valid options for him to get U.S. citizenship.

A few months later Obama announced his executive order regarding immigration. Immediately after Obama’s announcement, we received an email from Valko & Chavez that my fiancé may be eligible. Valko & Chavez is now helping us in the legal effort to get him protected under the executive order.

We are really pleased with the legal expertise and attention we have received thus far. I highly recommend this law firm to others.

Liz--I didn't think you had any immigration problems much less a complicated problem. If Mr. Chavez says your case is complicated then you need alot of help and shouldn't have gotten angry with Mr. Chavez.

Are you going to get deported because of this problem? Are you supposed to be working? I hope you don't lose your job. You need to listen to Mr. Chavez--you got a serious immigration problem and need help and get control of your temper. See we are not the only one telling you that you got problems with your temper.

And then decided They would not take case. Only talk to Chavez two times ,

Hi, I'm Nick Chavez, founding partner at Chavez & Valko, LLP. Thank you for your feedback. And thank you for acknowledging our professionalism. We take everyone's comments seriously. I think no one can dispute that mutual trust and respect are vital qualities in maintaining a healthy client-attorney relationship. The reviewer above retained our services on a rather complicated matter. Unfortunately, within one week of hiring us, the reviewer made certain disparaging and disrespectful remarks to my employees that I felt were inappropriate and inconducive to a working relationship. I value my employees and their hard work. But just as I expect them to treat our clients with courtesy and respect, I also expect the same from the people that we're trying to help get out from a difficult situation. Based on the reviewer's conduct, we terminated our services in a professional manner. We refunded the client in full, and referred the client to another immigration lawyer.

excellent Firm

I recommend Chavez & Valko LLP Immigration Law Firm because it is not easy at all to find a good Immigration law firm; I know that because I and my husband hired an immigration lawyer, who never respected the fact that we don’t have the time to try to contact him and not getting the answers. After five months of doing NOTHING, we decided to hire another attorney of law, when we found Chavez and Valko Firm. The whole staff where very nice and helpful, the attorneys asked all the questions and answered all our questions as well; there was no problem whenever we needed to contact them they were there for us. Mr. Gary frost explained to us all the possibilities and the options. We had two complicated cases when we hired the firm, and I was about to be deported from the country, but I am here now and got my green card in less than four months from submitting my application. All the staff in the firm are so helpful, nice, efficient, and organized I would like to thank Mr. Gary frost for all the efforts he made, and thanks for Mr. Eduardo Amaro the very organized Paralegal who made it easy for us to contact him all the time.

Outstanding Immigration Attorney

We are infinitely thankful as a family to immigration attorney Mr. Martin Valko and his staff of Chavez & Valko LLP for their professionalism, knowledge, hard work and dedication in obtaining an 0-1/0-3 Visa for our family. Before hiring Mr Valko, we hired another local law firm which cost us unecessary time, money, suffering, and overall a lack of faith in the immigration legal system. After one meeting with Mr.Valko - our faith, hope and confidence was completely renewed. He is the ultimate professional and a true diamond/expert in his field. As well has having a very robust process in place to guide us through our application, Mr Valko kept the communication lines open through the entire process, managing our expectations, updating us on his progress and reassuring us along the way. This was tempered with quick responses to our emails/calls and lots of care and compassion from both him and his team - on many occasions he took calls after hours and weekends, proving to us that it is not all about the money with this firm - he has a genuine interest in his clients and will work relentlessy to achieve a positive result. Our own case provided quite a steep challenge for Mr. Valko, based on the Visa category that we were applying for - Mr Valko worked tirelessly and innovatively on our case and what could have taken up to 15 days to approve - came through in 3 days! Mr Valko called us personally after hours to give us the news!! If you have an Immigration requirement - this is the firm you need to contact - we don't know where you will find a customer experience on the same level that Mr. Valko provides. It has been an incredible journey and a truly life changing experience for our family.

Thank you Mr.Valko for saving our family - a truly World Class performance!.

Great Lawyer - Highly Recommended‎

Our special thanks goes to Mr. Martin Valko, his paralegal Anya and the Law office of Chavez & Valko, LLP for providing an exceptional representation for my wife Ladan and I in our immigration case. We retained the Mr. Valko in September of 2008 to apply for a K-1 Visa and since that time we have received an excellent service. The K-1 process completed smoothly and in accordance to the time frame that we were provided. Mr. Valko even made sure to prepare Ladan for her consulate interview in Turkey and was extremely comforting to both of us. Upon Ladan’s arrival to the States, Mr. Valko applied for her Adjustment of Status (I-485). With much of our surprise, Ladan received her green card in approximately two months from the time we applied. During the entire immigration process, Mr. Valko and Anya made sure that all of our documentation were completed and submitted in accordance to USCIS requirements. Further, what impressed us the most was the fact that Law Office was constantly and promptly available to us in response to any issues, questions, or comments we had. They went above and beyond the call of duty. Ladan and I are grateful of their assistance in bringing us together to start a new life as husband and wife.

Thank you again.

More than just an immigration law firm! Mas que simples abogados de inmigracion!

Because I reside in Houston, Texas communication for my case for a resident visa and an I-601 Waiver petition for my husband was conducted via e-mail, phone and mail however this did not cause any issues whatsoever. The entire staff treated me with professionalism, respect, care and concern the entire time. My husband reunited with us most recently after being separated for 2 years and 8 months.

The firm’s paralegals were top notch and very compassionate and caring. At one point I received a personal call from Mr. Valko who offered to do part of the work without any additional fee! Chavez & Valko shows care and concern for their clients and clearly proved to me that it wasn’t all about the money. There was a time when I discussed with them that we were getting so discouraged that it might be best that my husband re-enter the US illegally. Mr. Valko sympathized with us but advised that if he entered illegally and got caught he would be barred for 10 years, he advised against him entering that way. Although it was a very exhausting and painful struggle at the end the I-601 waiver was approved and my husband is now a US legal Resident.
