Overall

This place is very deceptful. They are posting positions online as if they were hiring just to get people in there to become salesmen. They misadvertise postions and I noticed Lynn Taylor (one of the persons who submitted a review) is the person who posted the job openings. Please do not waste your time unless you want to become a salesman because there surely is no warehouse work there.

I had an interview last week. I couldn't find my way since I'm new to the Dallas area and got super lost. I called to let the receptionist know that I was running late due to the fact that I was lost. She let me know that it would not be a problem since I called ahead to let her know I was running behind. Then she asked me where I was and told me that she would help direct me in to the best of her ability. I showed up about 17 minutes late but the manager did not hold it against me. Thanks to the great receptionist I made it to the interview finally, I almost gave up on going in because of my frustration. I'm glad i didn't because i would've really missed out. They have a excellent staff and I'm happy to a say that I'm their newest member.

I recently was hired at AL and I love it. Everyone is really nice. If there was something I didn't understand a team member was there to help me out and show me how to improve on what I was doing. I really enjoy the family atmosphere there. Unlike some jobs I've had in the past this place is DRAMA FREE. What I like about this job the most is there is advancement to grow within the company. You can start at the bottom and move up. I NEEDED this opportunity. I've found an outstanding job and I plan on staying with this company and moving up through the ropes.

I am writing this e-mail in hopes that I can get compensated and perhaps and and apology. I was called for an interview this past week. I met with Mr. Banks along with another person which was unprofessional to say the least. I should not have to share time with someone else in an interview. In all my years of various jobs that has NEVER happened. Then I was told I may get a call back and will be paid cash for my training. That also sounds shady! I received a call that night telling me when to come in and "spend a day" with a manager. I was not asked to return the call to see if that day would work with my schedule. Which it did not. I had to call and reset the date. I arrived on time at ten and had to wait until eleven o'clock before starting my "training". Me and two others were asked to accompany the manager to another location. I should have NEVER gotten in to a strangers car. There was also another current employee that came with us. I had to squeeze in to the back seat with two strange men. I asked where we were going and I was told "another location". That did not answer my question. He said we were stopping by the bank first and that we had to go in with him. I felt unsafe and very uneasy. We got in his car and I started asking questions. Which seemed to irritate him. The whole time he seemed like he was irritated. (For lack of better words) I finally got some answer as to what this job entails and it is SOLICITATION! If I had been told initially what this job was going to have me doing, I WOULD HAVE NEVER DONE IT. I am so mad that I wasted my time on this. I was not compensated for anything. AT LEAST for the whole hour I had to wait to even begin. I tried to file a complaint to the BBB and it ways AL Distribution is not accredited! NO WONDER! I want to be paid for the time I wasted!

Biggest misrepresentation of a job ever. I interviewed for a position with this company. The ad was a little vague and made me believe they were advertising a number of open positions. I asked questions about the company and was lied to. They advertise them selves as a local distributor. But truthfully this is a company that makes profits from soliciting random merchandise in partking lots and shopping centers. Please ask alot of questions if you choose to interview for this company, Id hat for anyone to waste time as I did.

It was a very positive environment, I learned a lot and had a lot of fun. You have to be driven and self motivated, but all in all it was a great experience. I wish I did not have to move!
