These people are rednek. They dislike blacks and are rude. They do crappy work and are friends with other boat folks who then don't work on my boat. Customer service is definitely lacking.

Very impressed. Went to this shop because our mechanic, Ron, closed up and highly recommended them. We requested water pump installation due to overheat buzzer. They said the tube was stopped up, they cleared it and it works great now. They could have done the work and charged me without telling me my prediction for repair was incorrect. Appreciate the honesty, we will return. Thank you for great service.

After calling around and back up for boat repairs was 3-4 weeks we went to Neal's Boat Service because they were at 1 and a half. Surprised to get it back in a week and it ran better than it has in a long time. Thanks to Neal and his son, we will be back!

Cy Fair Boat Shop closed up, if you need a new mechanic like I did, go to Neal's. Really happy with repairs. Never got boat back so fast and boat ran better than it ever has I think. Prices better then weve been paying too. We will go here now after years at Cy Fair. Glad for the recommendation from old mechanic.

I have had my boats to Neal's several times. I have never had any problems with customer service or quality of service. Turnaround time has usually been sooner than quoted. Will definitely take it back to Neal's if any problems arise.

AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE, waited late for me to drop off and then fixed a fuel problem for almost $200 less than another shop at the bay had estimated. I will recommend and be back!

I Voted 5 stars on the quality...........I tried to write another review this morning on the quality of repairs after a previous experience that both Neals and I disagree on. YP only allows me to "edit" or delete the review, so I deleted it. Honestly I cant complain about the quality. Its excellent and that's why I returned this morning. My previous experience was not pleasant, but I would have returned due to the quality that was performed. I honestly cant say I couldn't be happier about that. Its been a year of great performance after the repairs! I am sorry that Neal's did not allow either of us, I refer to "us" because it takes two to tango, another opportunity to correct our differences. He was nice in telling me he didn't want my business because of my previous review, Never the less, I think it was a missed opportunity for the both of us. No harm, No foul guys.......Your quality is definitely worth returning for. It is what it is........Good luck.

i WOULD NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. IF MY BOAT NEEDED REPAIRS AND THEY WERE THE LAST REPAIR SHOP ON EARTH I WOULD QUIT THE BOATING WORLD ALTOGETHER.



This is the first time I've ever written a review, but I felt any prospective shoppers should be aware of Neal's business practices.



Neals was referred to me by my brother in law who knew them from their high school days, i was concerned about going there in the first place given all the bad reviews I heard and read about the business but decided to anyways. This was a bad decision on my part.



I brought my boat in to get the carb cleaned and replace some boots and shift cables since it had been stored inside for several years. This was in July 2012. They (Neals) acted disinterested at first (poor customer relations) since the repairs were going to be complicated - I had already removed the the lower unit and some other parts....nonetheless they agreed to complete the work for $1700. Keep in mind I brought him all BRAND NEW parts (shift cables, boots, gaskets, etc).



I called at least once a month for the first several months and spoke with Chris or some girl, and they kept claiming that they were about to start working on it. Finally after the first of the year they claimed they had been working on it and would get it completed.



Around late April or early May they began calling saying the boat had been fixed but would not go into reverse. They claimed the ticket was up to apprx $2600 at this point (over a 50% increase from what we agreed to originally). This is the first I heard that we had to spend another $900. The reason being he claimed they put on the boots i gave them and they were defective......Keep in mind these were brand knew boots and cables. Then he goes on to explain that this didn't even include getting the boat to go into reverse, and that I'd have to spend another $400-$500 for that. So my bill essentially almost doubled, the job took almost a year to complete.



They attempt to use strong-arm practices to get you to just agree with their costs after the fact. I told them to go ahead with their lien process and I'll just meet with them in court to see what happens there.

Thanks goodness for the news! Wetook my girlfreinds boat to neal worried about major repairs. After diagnosing some corroded wires and doing some maintnance we havent had it running this good before.

Stay away from this place. Worst attitude I've ever experience from a service provider.



I don't know what was going on but I dropped the boat off for them to look over. It had been sitting in the garage for the past 4 years and It wouldn't start. I changed the plugs and it would turn over fine but would not start. I told the gal at the destk this and she wrote it down. I also asked her to put a new battery in it and asked how much it would be, she said they would and that it would be about $120 for interstate battery. Sounded about right so I asked her if she would just write battery $120 on the order so we would all be on the same page when I came back.



She called about 4 hours later and said the starter was shot. I said it was just turning over in my driveway a week ago are you sure you got the right boat, she said yes and confimred the boat type. I still couldn't belive it so I asked how much that was going to be. she said just a miinute and put the phone down. Neal picked it up and asked very rudely , "what do you want!" I was stuned at his agressiveness. I said the gal just told me my starter is shot but it was working a week ago and I don't see how that could be. He started yelling, yes, yelling at me through the phone saying how can I question him when he tells me it's the starter! I appologosed if I had said anything wrong and asked why he was so agressive towards me. He said because I questioned his diagnosis and that he knew I was trouble because I asked the gal at the desk to write down the $120 for the battery. I remained very calm a pleasent and asked him how much the starter was going to coast me. He said, " $195 and that's a brand new starter". "Ok" I said, " how much to put it in"? He started yelling again, "it's only $50 labor but you know what, you can just come and get your boat I don't want anything to do with it.!" I told him I thought that was a good idea and went and picked it up. I didn't talk to anyone and no one said anyting to me. I just drove in, hooked up to the trailer and drove out. unbeliveable. People have bad days, I get that, t but this guy was way out of line. I realy don't know how he has a business at all.

Neal's Boat Service has done g...

Neal's Boat Service has done good work on my ski boat when I needed a professional to do the job. Chris was very cordial and very helpful. He replaced my propeller when I could not get it off and he added some really nice stainless steel pop up cleats which I certainly needed. Their service was excellent and timely. I would highly recommend them.

My family is in the mechanical business. I understand how it works and anticipate the wait. We were told 2 1/2 weeks, but we got our boat back just shy of 1. Thank you for the quick and friendly service!

I have been going to neals shop for a very long time now and was quite suprised to see this review. Neal is very knowledgeble about boat motors and fixes them right. On my 3rd boat now and would not go anywhere else. My guess is that sunnyray was bitter about how much it was going to cost to repair his boat? If so I don't think he'll be happy anywhere else either. I can say I have never had any problems there and can highly recomend them.
