Express Title

we closed on a property at the end of March 2011and as we were going to our summer home that Sunday we left a check of $89.00 with Express Title so they could get the title processed and mailed to us. Closer said RE Agent was getting title that weekend from sellers who moved to Tampa. A month went by and we had still not received the title so we call Express Title and the closer said they were really busy and would get the title work to Citrus County in a week or so. A month later we called again and got the same answer they were very busy. We called every few weeks with no results. We also hadn't received our DEED either. it is now November of 2011 and we still haven't gotten the title to our mobile. Called Express and got the same run around. Made another call in November of 2011 and were able to talk to a new employee/closer and told her the sequence of this closing and problems we were having. Come to find out there was no title as the sellers couldn't find it. First time we heard that after 8 months. If it wasnt for this new employee we would have had to rely on their other closer who was not doing anything about our problem. All she would say was the House is yours no big deal dont' have a title. Well this new gal was very professional and called us back after about an hour and told us about the title. She immediately prepaid the proper documents and saw that what needed to be done was done. We still hadn't received the title by December 10 of 2011 so we went to the Express Title offices and the new closer was able to give up the paper work she had received from the County and that she had just sent to us. She said the county should have sent the title to us within the last few days. We are very thankful for this new emloyee who finally solved our problems.



We do feel that Express Title is not a responsible nor efficeint Title Co. We have bought many houses and never had to wait 8 plus months for the paperwork. Mr. Wade the owner of this company needs to keep better track of his title business to make sure the paperwork is being dealt with on a timely basis. I would never close with Express Title Again.
