        The poor boys r great deside to try Ribeye not good thin &no flavor a friend had the white fish not that good have been goin there for 40 yrs. Stick with the poor boys

        Must have the POORBOY PLATTER!!! I have been going to Merichka's for 30yrs or so, and will be taking my Mom there tonight, for her B-day. NEVER would not order the Poorboy platter w/dbl baked potato.

        Best Midwest Eatery! This is one of the best places to eat in the Chicago-land-area. Great service, delicious high quality food. Priced perfect. If you are ever in Joliet, you have got to eat here and you have to have a por' boy sandwich. It is served hot, and mouth watering beef with fresh hardy bread, smothered drenched dripping in garlic. So good its unbelievable. I have actually drove from Milwaukee Wi for a por' boy, honest its that good.

        Established in 1933, Merichka's is a family-owned restaurant that offers a variety of appetizers, sandwiches, salads, steaks, seafood and ice cream. Its appetizer menu includes onion rings, chicken strips, mozzarella sticks, garlic breads and shrimp cocktail. The restaurant serves yodel burgers, hamburgers and chicken sandwich in its dinner menu. Merichka's offers a range of wines, including cabernet sauvignon, merlot, Shiraz, chardonnay, Riesling and zinfandel. It also provides draft, Heineken, beck's and corona beers. Additionally, the restaurant operates banquet facilities that can accommodate nearly 100 people for special occasions, such as meetings, reunions, birthdays, anniversaries and wedding receptions.
