Osaka West Japanese Restaurant

Don't eat here, found hair in my food and was told

(as though it were an excuse) it could have come off the table. Its just gross.

I love sushi.. and they have the best n freshest sushi by far

I have been to Osaka West about 10 times. Each time has been a little less delcious, and the last time, last night, was just mediocre. the chef was amateurish and dropped his utensils several times. Even though i don't do the "catch the food in the mouth" thing, he was the worst at it, always overshooting. It was not so great.

the filet mignon was a bit chewey. the rest of the meal (fried rice, vegetables, shrimp) was good, not "very good". Perhaps you will get a better chef and a better experience. Prices: $39.95 for my steak and shrimp. They have sushi which i do not partake.

So, good luck in Covington LA finding a great place. Dakota's is good. The best is Acme Oyster house, try the gumbo.
