Leora Brown School

I had called and had spoke to Maxine Brown. I reserved the school for my friend's Bridal Shower. We booked the space over a month in advance and I mailed the check for the deposit immediately. There were multiple calls from Maxine confirming my date and time which I thought was strange but I excused it. The evening before she had called me and wasn't able to meet with me the next day til 12:30pm instead of 9am. I didn't really have a choice but I told her I would work around her schedule. The day of the event at 10:30am she called and left me a message(I was in church). She was unable to meet me that day and told me that we wouldn't be able to use the venue for the event! I was horrified as I had 30 ladies attending and the event was scheduled to start in 5 hours. Maxine has still not returned my calls or any of my messages. Luckily I was able to use Point Blank Brewery and it all worked out. However, since I ordered items specifically for the Leora Brown School I have to return over half of my items and pay the return shipping and restocking fees. I am an Event Coordinator for the company I work for but I have never dealt with such an unprofessional individual. I highly suggest not using this venue for your events unless you want to scramble a few hours before trying to find another venue.
