Stewart Title

As an investor/broker in the Austin, TX area, I blindly chose this office to close my Corpus purchase and didn't realize this was a fee attorney office when I chose them (just did an online search because I've closed with Stewart Title in other cities without issue). That in itself was problematic because the attorney for this office went on vacation in the middle of my purchase and I was told I would have to wait till he got back to get the closing documents corrected...something I find totally unacceptable for any title company. Also found the closer to be VERY inexperienced and lacked understanding of the different policy endorsements that I requested. I eventually had to call the Stewart Title Corporate office to get the ball rolling again on my closing since the attorney who owns this office was missing in action and between the closer's lack of knowledge and the attoney M.I.A., it almost killed my deal due to delays. This was a very bad experience and I will not use this Stewart Title office again under any circumstances.
