Overall

Went with my family on a Sunday morning, got sat very quickley, service was excellent, waitress was on top of her game I think her name was Mallory maybe I could be wrong but the anyways my steak was horrible mind you this is the second time I went my steak was awful the first time thought I'd try it again but this time wasn't any better I send it back twice still wasnt right.... How hard is it to get a medium steak cooked, manager never came by to even see if everything was ok so bring the second bad experience on a steak I'd never eat a steak there again besides myself my family enjoyed their food and service was great kudos to our server.....

Just ordered out, paid and picked up dinner for two, they forgot our two salads and two sides, so ended up with a chicken fried steak, a mesquite chicken and a big bag containing 2 tubs of gravy 2 pieces of bread and 2 cups of butter for dinner. What we did get tasted pretty average and really salty. Thanks! NOT. Regretful.

This is our favorite steakhouse in town. We go here for every birthday and special event we have.

I am new to the Corpus Christi area and am also an avid steak eater. I make sure to eat a nice steak at least once a week and when I do not have time to make my own I always go to Ol' Steak House. I have eaten the Flos Filet, the New York Strip, and my all time favorite, the Fire Grilled T-Bone steak. I am partial to medium well-done steak and find that many steak joints find this hard because medium well done means, to me, means fully cooked and still juicy. The worse thing you can do is dry out a great piece of steak. I really love this locally owned treasure and do recommend anyone visiting the area come try the steak, or anything else for that matter. I always pair my steak with steamed vegetables and mashed potatoes for good measure. You have to try this place!

Please don't confuse this restaurant the Corporate Longhorn Steakhouse at La Palmera! This locally owned restaurant is much better with quality food and quality service.

Terrible service

The service was terrible. I ordered a streak and they brought me a burger, then gave me a very hard time when I asked them to correct my order. They only came back to check on our table once. And or server was rude. I've been there twice and had a bad experience both times.

Overall
Great restaurant.

The best steaks in Corpus Christi. Nobody beats the quality of the beef used here. When you ask for your steak a certain way thats the way you get it, maybe a bit rare but it can alway go back on the grill for another minute. No disappointments. The daily lunch specials are really good. Highly recommended.

All in all, I do not believe any of those high priced restaurants in Corpus can beat the quality of The Longhorn Steak and Ale on Avalon St. (Not to be confused with the Longhorn on S.P.I.D., that one is Not too good)
