My sis-in-law’s little dog was killed here:

My dog (Coco) DIED yesterday at the Flour Bluff Facility. She was a small chihuahua (only 5 pounds). I took her for a oatmeal bath/spa day and they usually keep her up front with them in the office since she is so tiny but the manager said she didn’t want to continue hearing her bark and whine so she moved her in a room with other clean dogs. One of which was a lab/collie mix that attacked coco and bit and crushed her tummy and chest area puncturing internal organs which led to coco bleeding out within minutes.

I signed a waiver saying she could socialize with other dogs but not large aggressive dogs. Bruno’s bathhouse’s staff allowed my dog to be killed.

And they didn’t tell the owner of the lab/collie mix that their dog KILLED A SMALL DOG yesterday. The owners have no clue. They didn’t ban that dog from the facility either. So it will still be there socializing with other dogs. Definitely, don’t trust them to keep your pets separated by size either.

The General manager said it was a playful act from the lab/collie mix and that Coco was “just small”!
A dog being playful would not kill another dog and Coco was not supposed to be placed in a room with large dogs. Also, manager told me the other dog had pinned Coco down but when the GM called me she said that manager saw the dog being playful to her. So the GM is lying.

Also the general manager kept me on the phone for 30 minutes telling me all her personal stories of how she lost pets in her life. Basically trying justify this as “stuff happens”. What a waste of time. They were negligent and take zero accountability for the killing of my Coco yesterday.

On their website it states that the dogs are always monitored while socializing but not one person was in that room and there are not any cameras in that room either.

We are beyond devastated. She was our baby girl. She died a gruesome death on a day she was suppose to be getting pampered. I just went to get my sweet Coco from her appointment and left there with her in a box wrapped in a bloody towel.

Please don’t take your fur babies here. It’s too dangerous.

Must say that they do a great job in grooming my 2 dogs---however-both of my dogs had ear problems after leaving the place that required me to take both of them to the vet to have there ears checked out. When I took the second one in I told them to go easy on the ears. Well it looks like they did not listen. He had some very bad irritation.

After taking our dog to Bruno's Bath House for daycare for about a year we are no longer comfortable leaving him there as it is not safe. He was recently attacked by two dogs who we found out from the staff are known "bullies" but are allowed to share an outdoor play yard with other dogs. Our dog sustained bite marks, scratches, puncture wounds, lacerations and scrapes over his entire body, then was left bleeding and in pain for almost two hours by the management. What makes this worse is that they share a lobby with a vet and assured us when we first started with Bruno's that they would bring him there if anything ever happened to him. When I got there to pick him up, he was sitting alone against the wall shivering with his ears down and I could see he was bleeding from his chest. He was limping badly and after I lifted him into the car, my clothes were covered in blood. We have not been back since and the Management has not even contacted us to ask how he is or apologize for what happened. The contract that we signed gave us the expectation that he would not be exposed to dogs that were known to be aggressive and that he would be cared for if he was injured. The owner of his new daycare facility said she had seen other dogs with similar stories from Bruno's. And, his vet told us the same thing. No more Bruno's for our dog!}

I have taken both my dogs in for daycare now and one has been groomed! I love this place. The staff is incrediby friendly and you can tell they really enjoy working with the animals. The best part of it is the convienent pricing. $2 an hr for daycare. They also have a packaged deal for the whole month for under $200. I work all day and love knowing that my dogs aren't cooped up! I highly recommend Bruno's!

Let me start this review out b...

Let me start this review out by saying that my wife and I were fans of Bruno's Bath House for quite some time. It was only after finding out how they deal with bad situations that we felt compelled to write this review and warn people of what could happen. Over the Christmas holiday 2011 we boarded our two dogs at the facility located on First National Blvd for 11 days. On the sixth day of their stay, my wife received a phone call in the evening stating one of our dogs had been injured. She was told it was "nothing major", "the dog is fine", and he sustained only "superficial wounds to his ears." After speaking to the General Manager Shelly to ascertain the extent of his injuries and how they were sustained, my wife discovered that part of his ear was bitten off. She was told it had occurred during tug-of-war play and "it just happens to floppy eared dogs." She also found out that the incident happened two days prior to her receiving the aforementioned phone call. She was assured he needed no stitches or medical attention and his wounds were being treated with hydrogen peroxide and antibiotic ointment.

My wife called the facility back the next day to further discuss the incident. She was told that one ear was missing a small piece less than a centimeter in size and that the other had a superficial wound that may leave a small scar. The superficial wound happened the day she received the initial phone call. My wife asked if the dog had been in a dog fight, was he being toy aggressive (very uncharacteristic of our dog) and other similar questions to better determine how he was injured playing tug-of-war. Again she was told that nothing like that had happened, a dog was going for the toy in his mouth and got his ear instead, and that our dog was happy and still playing in the group.

Upon our arrival back to the area, we returned to pick up our dogs. My wife got our injured dog and took him outside to the vehicle where she could better inspect his injuries and see the extent of them. (See the rest of the review on google reviews)

I would offer NO STARS if that...

I would offer NO STARS if that option was possible. Like most people, we had heard good things about this establishment and decided to give them a try at grooming our English Goldendoodle. My wife was very direct about our desires and was reassured by management that ultimate care would be taken with our dog. We filled out a form with CLEAR RESTRICTIONS about what is NOT to be done with our dog which emphasized NOT shaving him down no matter the case.

My wife was absolutely devastated when she picked up our dog only to find that he had been shaved completely because "he had severe matting". My wife lost her composure when she pointed out that this was not the instruction given. The staff's only reply was that they tried to call us for verification, but my wife's "cell phone was no longer in service" which is completely false as I received a call from my wife in tears over the whole experience.

I requested a faxed form from Bruno's that detailed out my wife's initial desires for the grooming service. I was not surprised when my company's fax line was "Not in service" either. Apparently the entire staff does not comprehend how to dial a phone or fax..

We will be disputing the charges for this service simply based on the inept performance of the staff and complete lack of accountability. Management has yet to reply to our calls about the horrid experience which is not surprising when such disregard for a customer's desires has already been displayed.

Ill be happy to submit photos to the "management staff" and any other users as a form of caution before using this poor excuse for an establishment.

Love the place

Went there to get my lab mixed nails clipped. He's the worst. I been everywhere and no one can do him. Petsmart wanted to charge me extra because he was sooo bad. I went here skeptic. Walked in very nice facility. And saw two small girls and when the smallest took him to the back I just knew he would come out with long nails. But know. She nailed it. Hahaha. Pun. These people know what they are doing and have amazing prices. Only $8. Love this place highly recommend.
