Robert Lithman Attorney

Mr. Lithman represented my wife in a case of a disputed will. After taking no action for almost four years, and having assured us that we had a very strong case, it turned out that established case law clearly was against us. Mr. Lithman deposed the attorney who had originally prepared the will several months before we went to trial, but didn't provide us with a printout of that deposition until two weeks prior to the trial. Upon reading it I knew our case was lost because the attorney provided very damaging testimony. Additionally, Mr. Lithman brought on another attorney to help during the trial. The other attorney brought a printout which specified circumstanced under which a will could be ruled invalid. Apparently Mr. Lithman either didn't even bother to check established case law, or chose not to disclose that to us. In all we spent roughly $70K in attorney fees and expenses only to discover our case was never good. The original attorney, a co-worker in Mr. Lithman's firm made a mistake both in preparing the will and in his testimony, but the real snake in the grass was Mr. Lithman. He just kept the clock running and either intentionally or erroneously failed to ever speak with us about the establised case law in this matter. I wanted to sue for incompetence and dereliction of fiduciary trust but my wife refused because she was emotionally drained. Stay away from this guy!!!!
