Salon One

Being new in Columbus, I was looking into finding a professional salon that would know what to do with my natural black hair. I found Salon one and was already very impressed with the 30mn free consultation I had with a nice lady named Paris. Since I didn't know what style to actually do, she was very very patient with me and exceptionally knowledgeable when it comes to how to handle,take care and style natural hair. This salon is the kind You want to keep going to on the long term, to make sure you're taken care of properly. I know for sure this is the start of a great partnership between us.

I moved here from out of town and I needed a hair stylist. I am very particular on who does my hair. I don’t allow everybody to do my hair because everybody can’t do hair. I went online and came across Salon One. I am so happy that I went to Salon One because my hair is fabulous!! My hair stylist name is Paris and she has done a wonderful job on my hair. Paris is sweet, kind, respectful, funny, sophisticated, and professional. She provides excellent service! When I book my appointments, she is on time and she doesn’t have me seating there for hours. She doesn’t overbook and has me in and out on time. She does natural hair and weaves. She did two sew ins for me and I loved it! When I first met her, she asked me what was my hair goal because my hair was thin, short and damage. I told her I wanted my hair to be long and thick. She has been working on achieving this goal and I am very pleased with the results. My hair has grown thick and has length. She doesn’t put any damage chemicals in my hair to make a quick buck. Every product she puts in my hair she explains why and how it works. My family and friends love my hair!

Paris Miles and Salon One has served me and my daughter for years, and with them I will faithfully remain!

I could have certainly gone to others, but none would have treated me the same,

It's a pleasure when she kindly meets me when I step inside Salon One's door,

Like family and friends they all greet me and keep me coming back for more.



And I always feel so at home, whenever I sit back in that chair,

Salon One is truly on a mission and with Paris . . it's all about the hair.

I like the deep discussions, as we talk, laugh and smile,

Not many tend to entertain and educate, but you make it all worthwhile.



You also encourage questions and will certainly make it known,

that if one can't take care of her own hair, she should leave my hair alone.

It intrigues me how you stay in the game by learning fresh techniques,

no wonder that edgey styles and trendy dos to you is nothing unique.



You do my hair so expertly, that for the mirror I can hardly wait,

it doesnt matter if it's a concert, dinner or just a late night date.

For I'm always pleased with the level of service and the attention I receive,

The amount I pay, for the time you spend on my hair, is hard to believe!



And since you're so into poems, Paris, I had to write this one for you,

Feel compassion for all the haters, who hurt you by the nasty things they do.

For there will be many more who'll admire you, by the kindness that you give,

And you'll be repaid many times over - - - it's karma - - for as long as you live.



So for people who need to get a life, -- the ones with nothing good to say,

Let's face it . . Salon One is not the place for them, fixing ugly is not a service anyway.

And to the coward who keeps wasting her time, setting up bogus negative online reviews,

We're so sorry that you didn't like the service, so move onto wherever else you choose

Just remember that your reputation preceeds you and we all know who you are

For everyone of us leaves our footsteps in the sand and behind us Karma is never very far.

Wow, someone below needs a man. Ms Very Very Unhappy is just unhappy period. I personally know over 20 people who get their hair, beauty and wellness services from Salon One, plus myself, and none of us have ever been unhappy.



Paris, Ms. Jewel, and everyone else associated with the salon are extremely professional, kind, ethical, talented and just plain old good people. But then again, most of us aren't very very unhappy people and have more positive things to do with our time than complain. Oh well. Hey, when did a small mouse become a federal offense? Hmmmm.....

Salon One is my hair home for life! I found them through an email marketing ad where I received 25% OFF my natural hair service. I read through some reviews on yahoo which all but a few were excellent. I decided to try them out and I loved my service. The environment is comfortable and welcoming. The stylists are professional but bring a bit of personality as well. Paris does my twists but I hear Stacy is good too. I think she does mainly short hair and relaxers. I definitely will continue to refer my friends:-) my hair has grown and thickened up already. There's also a great discount club. The prices are a fair exchange for the quality and care. If you're a cheapy lol though, you might think the prices are high. Above all its worth it, savings club or not.

I was scammed today and I am irate about it! I have visited Salon One about four times and on this last visit is when they lost me as a client for life and they have gained I full time preacher, whistleblower of their scams. I can over looked the fact that on a visit I had to wait 40mins before my services started because of multiple double booked clients. I can over look a mouse scurrying across the floor probably because the salon is unclean. BUT what I can not overlook is the when I am told a price by the stylist before services were rendered and then I got to the counter to pay and I was told a significantly larger price was due. Paris is a good stylist, a hard worker and has a great personality but scamming people on price is not right and has to be stopped! It is a total SCAM and I will not tolerate it! I have full intentions to report this company to the Better Business Bureau and I am contacting the Ohio Board of Cosmetology (1929 Gateway Circle Grove City, OH 43123, Phone: 614-466-3834 Toll Free Outside of Columbus: 866-642-6723) so that verification of licenses and other compliance issues can be looked into. Consumes don’t understand their power. Without the consumers the business would not thrive. Be diligent!



I encourage others to blow the whistle on businesses that take advantage of others. There was a time when customer service was the backbone of any great business. A certain company who’s name I won’t disclosed ***-mart became the multi-billion dollar company by Sam W***on’s vision to build ***-Mart on the revolutionary philosophies of excellence in the workplace, customer service and always having the lowest prices. ***-mart sucks now but it’s because Sam Walton has died and those values have died also.
