The Division of Drinking and Ground Waters is responsible for providing safe water to more than 10 million residents daily. The division ensures compliance with rules and laws through the review of self-monitoring reports and analytical results. It caters to the needs of over 5,000 public drinking water systems. The Division of Drinking and Ground Waters integrates and promotes pollution prevention activities. The division coordinates with state and federal agencies for ground water protection and offers technical assistance to waste management divisions. It administers a capability assurance program. The Division of Drinking and Ground Waters also maintains various laboratories. The division is a part of the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency.
