Board-certified physician, Eskender Getachew, MD, R.Ph, a Cleveland Clinic trained physician who brings decades of experience in neurology, sleeps, and addiction medicine to Getachew Health Center. He is currently obtaining board certifications in functional medicine and cosmetic medicine, as well as a re-certification in neurology. Dr. Getachew is Ranked on the Best Doctors US News + World Report. Dr. Getachew began his professional pursuits at the prestigious Purdue University School of Pharmacy in West Lafayette, Indiana. Following graduation, Dr. Getachew commenced his career as a pharmacist, a position that provided him with unique knowledge in terms of prescribing and using medication to treat patients. Several years later, Dr. Getachew returned to school and earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences in Ohio. He subsequently did his neurology residency at the Cleveland Clinic in Florida, followed by a fellowship in pediatric and adult sleep medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Dr. Getachew owns and operates three different facilities in Columbus: the Regional Neurology and Sleep Medicine Institute, the Getachew Knee Clinic, and Getachew Health Center, where he will be combining all his expertise into one practice. Dr. Getachew loves working one on one with his clients and strives to provide the highest level of patient care. This attention to detail doesn’t go unnoticed either.
