Paul R Downing, DMD

I started using Paul in the fall of 1989. He was conscientious, fair in his practices and did a good job. I pretty much followed his advise and came in for cleanings every 3 months. He was always higher than other Dentists for the work done, but the results were good.

I moved away for a number of years and when I returned, I was charged $748 for a cleaning which he said was a "scaling" that took all of an hour and half from his hygienist -- that works out to be $500/hour. He came in did a quick examination and made a smart aleck comment and abruptly left.

At the time, I was self ensured and based on the results of my $748 expenditure, I felt ripped off and have never returned. That was 2007. Paul is always buying the latest devices and is always trying to get you to spend more money.

I like Paul and think that he is genuinely a decent person. However, he did screw up a replacement cavity. I will never use his services again because his prices are exorbitant and he has lost his humility. While Paul may have changed, leopards rarely change their spots.

I love the team here, and wouldn't go anywhere else! The dentist and staff are very welcoming and nice. Superior, high-end dentistry.
