Dr. Joseph Boland & Associates

Just read this review. I saw Dr. Boland for help with my son who had been diagnosed with ADHD, Apergers and Bipolar. Dr. Boland would never tell a parent they are "bad" parents. He does give specific feedback as to what parenting approaches are most effective. He explained that discipline can be very effective, even when a child has the diagnoses mine has. It may take longer and require more patience from the parents. The main thing is that children can always learn to behavior better. None of these diagnoses mean the child can not learn to do better and consistent discipline is important. Dr. Boland can really help parents who are not overly defensive and insist on blaming all their child's behavior problems on the diagnosis. I was open to Dr. Boland's feedback and he helped me be a really good parent. My son is doing great.

Dr. Boland was prompt, attentive, insightful, direct, straightforward, educational, and intellegent. Been to lots of other therapist. He was much, much better. Go see him!
