General Info

The Utility Design Division works under the Department of Public Works Bureau of Engineering of Howard County, Md. It is responsible for cost, scheduling and design of water and wastewater capital projects including water distribution and wastewater collection systems, elevated water tanks and pumping facilities. The division provides technical assistance in the review of plans and specifications for developer funded water and wastewater projects. The Utility Design Division also reviews and offers recommendations on metropolitan district incorporations that allow property owners to be served by county s public water and sewer systems. It additionally provides technical assistance in the review of plans and specifications for developer funded water and wastewater projects. The division is located in Columbia, Md.
