Overall
Poor and Clique like

Went there with a friend on a Friday night, everybody stared at us, we came as strangers and left as Strangers

Very unfriendly and Clique like atmosphere, not for people who want to have fun.

Stay away from there.

What a disappointment! I love to dance country music so one of the major buying/selling points when I purchased my 5 acres in Peyton was the fact that I would have a large country music dance hall with a huge floor such as the dancehalls in and around Austin,Tx. I've been coming to Colorado Springs, my future retirement summer home city since 1983 and Cowboys shortly after I discovered it on Palmer Park.

Anyway, I show up this late June only to find that they have closed that large, awesome dancehall and reopened DOWNTOWN? in a much smaller facility with a tiny dancefloor that maybe 10 couples could dance on if they were synchronized dance groups. I gave it a chance by attending Weds,Thurs and there were all of maybe 10 people there. 5 ladies who preferred to dance alone?Line dancing even after going on about how well I danced. What was that idiot owner thinking. Obviously not a county dancer. I agree with the other person in that it's all about the money brought in by drinking. Went to Denver's Stampede and Grizzly Rose Friday/Saturday and had a blast dancing there. I guess I'll be going to Denver to go dancing once I relocate for the Summer 09 in Peyton. Thank God I have an RV that I can just stay in Denver Weds-Sunday I guess.

Bottom Line is if you love to dance Country and you are in Colorado Springs, set your sights on Denver because you'll be disappointed at Cowboys-Colorado Springs. Oh yes, the locals there advised me to come early and leave early to avoid the fights between the rock and rollers across the street and the country folks coming out at closing time. The emergency services doing a brisk business around that time.
