I purchased a washer and dryer set from Ralph's Appliance, which I see also works under the name Ralph's Estate Sales on Tuesday February 11, 2014. It was delivered same day. The following day on the 12th I proceeded to run it through a cycle to clean it out and discovered that water was coming out the bottom of the washer. I immediately called Richard (the owner) and told him about the problem. He said that he would send his mechanic out in about an hour. The mechanic never showed up in that time frame so I called back and was told that he (Richard) would come out himself and fix it. He never showed up that day. The next day he told me he would come out and fix it and he showed up that day. However he was unable to fix it so I asked for my money back and he told me no he would not give me my money back. He would instead try to come back out on Friday and fix it. On Friday Richard and his helper came out and again were unsuccessful at fixing my washer so again I asked for my money back and he said that he would just bring me up a new washer on Saturday. I informed him that my daughter's birthday was on Saturday and that if he came it would have to be at 8am because I had plans for her that day. Saturday morning Richard showed up at 8:48am and told me he was only a little late and it wasn't a big deal and did not have the replacement washer with him. He said he wanted to try and fix it again. I told him I could not continue to go through this and that nowhere in his shop was a posted sign that said no refunds nor did he tell me that there was a no refund policy. He told me in order to get my money back I would have to sue him. He also told me that he was going to go back to his shop and get a different washer. Richard sent his helper plus another guys to my house with a washer that was worse than what he originally gave me. It was completely rusted in the inside and dirt stains throughout the entire machine. As well as when the delivery men brought the washer in they broke my thermostat. I then tried to call Richard and he proceeded to ignore my calls. I called from a different number and he picked right up. I told him about what his delivery men had done and he said what am I supposed to do have them fix it and hung up the phone and refused to answer again. I ended up having to go to Sears and purchase a washer and dryer set for an additional cost.
