I damaged the clasp on my Citizen Largo Titanium watch in Puerto Rico in February 2015. I took the watch to Zales who kept the watch for 2 months and said that it would take 2 more months to repair the clasp. I asked that they return it and then sent it to Citizen for the repair. Citizen kept the watch from April to July at which time I received a call stating that they could not find the clasp and wanted me to upgrade to another watch which would probably not be supported in a few years. Keep in mind that this was a watch clasp repair, not the watch components. I requested that the watch be returned and then went to Chiccarine's who said that they would attempt to obtain the clasp. 1 (one) week later I had my watch back fully repaired. Chiccarine's dedication to service is impeccable. My wife and I have had numerous repairs and purchases and always received the max for our money. Highly recommended by our household.

I recently posted a review regarding getting a ring worked on a having to have it resized. Well, Chiccarine's came through! I called them the day after my husband picked it up (I was away on business and was unable to get it myself) and spoke with a very nice gentleman who called me back. He told me that they would be able to resize it for me at no additional cost. While I was at the store they also cleaned my engagement ring, too! Very good customer service. The only thing that I can find wrong (I really don't like to complain, but this baffles me) is that they don't give you your jewelry in a box. This could damage the jewelry and I've never seen this anywhere else. But, over all I had a very positive experience and would recommend this store to other customers. I did think that the price was high, but did not take the time to comparison shop so I really don't know for sure.

OMG Chiccarine's Fine Jewelry Store is now my new home. I love the jeweler Bob and the salespeople were sooooo nice. They went out of their way to accomadate my needs. I absolutely loved my repair. When I walked in the store it was like walking into Cheers Bar. All the customers were laughing and engaging in conversation with each other. They made you feel like one of the family. I also got to see a demonstration on their computer system where you can design your own jewelry to your liking. I told my boyfriend about it and we went back to look at it together. We designed my lovely engagement ring but now it is up to him to decide... I only hope that when I open that box it says "Chiccarines" Thanks guys you have a customer for life and so sorry about the women who is upset over a box. She could have just told them to forget it or ask to see the owner who would have gladly taken care of it. As he did me.

I don't usually post comments, but a recent bad shopping experience with this business had made me want to. I was looking to have an antique ring repaired and wanted a jeweler that was conveniently close to work, and did repairs on premise. Chiccarine's Fine Jewelry in Collegeville, PA was my choice. I picked up the ring today, and here is my report card on the shopping experience: Quality of repair: A Value: C. I think they were a bit overpriced. The cost for the repair was $150. At first I didn't mind, but after my shopping experience, I feel like I got ripped off. Service: D. When I picked up the ring, I asked for a box to go with it to give as a Christmas gift. The salesman seemed bothered by my request, then - without telling me - charged me $8 for a simple ring box. I asked why he didn't tell me he was charging me $8 for a box that I thought would have been a courtesy, he replied, "you didn't ask". Now I don't know about you, but when I feel like a salesman is trying to rip me off ($8 for a box is rediculous, especially when I just spent $150 on a repair), and is being a bit smart with me, it doesn't make me want to do any more business with them. So I told him that. His reply... "That's fine". So while you may think I'm making a big deal about a stupid ring box, I've always thought that if a business won't take of its customers over the little things, they don't deserve the chance to take care of them over the big things. So I'm never going back to Chiccarine's Fine Jewelry in Collegeville, PA. Nor would I recommend for anyone else to shop there. By the way, the only reason why I didn't give their service an F is because they were quick with the repair.
