WE LOVE ANNA & MIKE! Mike's training advice abd Anna's EXEMPLARY grooming are ABOVE the bar. I am so comfortable with my doggie in their care that we can travel and know that Sophia my dog are in the BEST HANDS. Not only do I have her groomed there when I do not travel, but I am sure to have her groomed prior to her home coming when boarded. NEVER ARE HER EYELASHES TOUCHED!!! She is a happy doggie abd WE LOVE DOGGIE BE GOOD. MY HUBBY IS EXTREMELY CRITICAL AND HE ADORES DOGGIE BE GOOD ABD MIKE & ANNA!!!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE

As a former business owner myself, I'm not one to post petty negative reviews ever unless it's absolutely justified. I boarded my beautiful Shih Tzu at Doggy Be Good for 2 weeks. I dropped off my dog in pristine condition, freshly bathed and matt free. I picked up my dog and not only was he severely matted all over both his ears and his tail BUT his beautiful long eyelashes have been cut down to short stubs without my consent! The owner of course denied it and claims maybe I did not remember how his eyelashes were cut since he was last groomed. Are you kidding me?!! I asked my vet for his opinion while he was examining my dog and he confirmed that they had in fact been cut. My groomer has also confirmed that they were clearly cut!!! So PLEASE STOP telling me that I don't remember if my dog's eyelashes were previously cut or not before dropping him off. That is ABSURD and just proves how incompetent you are. Worst of all he wasn't eating since he returned home and was vomiting profusely and he's now in the hospital on an IV!!! He more than likely contracted a VIRUS FROM THIS PLACE. Do NOT EVER use this place & SHARE this with other dog owners. I have filed a report with the Better Business Bureau as well. This place is a nightmare. Also PLEASE STOP contacting my vet and trying to find out my dog's medical records!!!! You have now contacted my vet on 2 separate occasions. My vet will NOT release any information to you. Your behavior speaks for itself as to how you run your business.

This review is from Doggy Be Good in response to Wendy C. below:

Wendy, your accusations about our business are truly incorrect. First of all, you said your dog was groomed before you brought the dog in to board with us and then later recanted this statement. We absolutely did not cut your dogs eyelashes, nor did we groom your dog in any way. We did show you video of your dog while you were away, and in none of the video did your dog have these eyelashes you speak of. It is pretty ridiculous to say we cut the lashes, but no other hair on the dogs head or body. This would mean we sat and carefully cut each eyelash. That's just ridiculous to say the least. More likely is that you had your dog groomed before you came and didn't realize that the groomer you used cut them. As far as the tail and the ears being matted, this could very well be true, your dog was here for two weeks running and playing. Dogs can get messy when playing outside, which is why we offer discount grooming to clients, a service that you did not utilize. However, this does not mean your dog was mistreated in any way, it just means your dog had fun. Then, almost four days after you left, you said your dog started vomiting and stopped eating. However, you never mentioned that to us previously. You picked up your dog and sat in my office for approximately 20 minutes talking to me about training, and during which time you expressed how good your dog looked, stating he was healthy, happy and very excited. You thoroughly inspected your dog, you never mentioned the "severe" matting of the ears and tail or any other complaints you currently have. I don't understand how you could have missed such a severe case of matting while sitting in my office, or how your dog was perfectly healthy when he left and became so sick 4 days after he went home. You even signed a release stating your dog was healthy, happy and in great condition. We take very seriously the health and well being of all our guests and find your claims and accusations to be very disturbing, disheartening and untrue.

Overall
great facility, caring staff

the staff at doggy be good are awesome - i left my dog there over the holidays and she was not stressed out and upset when i picked her up. besides the large indoor kennel, she had her own outdoor space, which is a rare find in the city. i also got her groomed before she came home, and was very impressed with the grooming job. they also have a mobile grooming van and can do grooming right outside your home. i would recommend doggy be good to anyone who wants their dog well cared for while they're away.
