Baker's Sharp Floors

I recently purchased a fairly large area rug from Lee Bryson at Baker’s Floors. Actually is was 10 x 12” piece of carpet that I paid $3.50 a foot just to have the edges bound plus additional to have a backing put on because it was going over wall to wall carpet. I did ask if they could deliver it and was told “no problem.”



When it was ready, Lee came alone to deliver it, saying the other person didn’t get back to the store in time, and I had to help roll it out. I am an older woman and luckily I had just moved and had only one piece of furniture that had to be lifted to position the carpet. We had a hard time getting it placed correctly, and Lee said he would come back out with another person the following week to fix it. When I didn’t hear by the following Thursday afternoon; I called and since Lee wasn’t in, I left a message to return my call. I called several additional times and received the same message -- that he was out on other jobs. I drove by the store after work to talk to him and asked why he hadn’t returned my call. Lee said they normally didn’t do that (lay out the carpet), and he was just trying to be nice. I asked why he had offered in the first place, and he just looked at me. At least he should have returned my call and explained. Not doing that wasn’t nice either.



The quality of carpet and workmanship was great, but customer service is something I look for in a business. They sell the product and I guess that’s good enough for them.
