Joann is great. Knows how to cut a man's hair. Personable, accomodating and not priced like Vidal sassoon in the city. For $20, it's the perfect place for a guy to go!

I'm always nervous to try new hairstylists because you never know what you are going to get. I thought I would take a friends recommendation to go to her girl at Nu Moda since my usually guy was out of town. She has just highlights and i have brown hair with a few hightlights. I usually get a single process as well. So I go and ask her to match the roots to the color I have currently with a few highlights. She's says ok and preceded to put the color on my hair but only covers the roots. She never covered the rest of my hair, which should have been clue number one. I have brown hair with a hint of auburn and the girl dyed my hair strawberry red. I sat in the chair and couldn't believe my eyes. My head was bright red! I made her try to tone down the red with a brown toner but it really didnt do much. She clearly had no idea what she was doing. I've actally had friends tell me my hair doesn't look good and you know what I agree. I DO NOT RECOMMEND NU MODA!
