The City Manager s Office is one of the departments operated by the government of Clermont, Fla. Its staff includes a city manager that acts as the chief executive and administrative officer of the city and supervises the mission, goals and policies established by the city council. The office is responsible for the administration of routine activities and supervision of a variety of operations of all city departments. The City Manager s Office controls the functioning of several departments, including police, fire, public services, utilities, parks and recreation, engineering, planning and zoning, city clerk and administrative services. The office also prepares agendas for city council meetings, organizes annual operating and capital improvement budgets and focuses on intergovernmental partnerships. In addition, it develops liaisons with various citizen advisory boards. The office also develops operational guidelines to provide improved services for city residents and visitors.
