The associates are not the most friendly. Be prepared to be followed around. I have bought very expensive merchandise in many occasions and have requested that they provide me with the hangers. The first time, a female associate (in the perfume department) told me "Sure, my pleasure". When she placed the items in the bag, she refused to give me my bag and said "Oh, no worries, I have placed the bag in the cart for you, and the hangers are inside". To my surprise, the hangers were not inside the bag. I just went back to the store to buy merchandise and shoes on Friday, and decided to make it an experiment. I asked the female associate (in the shoe department) if I could have the hangers. She replied with a "Yes, sure, I will place them in the bag for you". History repeated itself, as she did the exact same thing. She placed the bag in my cart, and no hangers inside. I could care less about the hangers but the fact that they can lie and misrepresent to the customers is what gets to me. If they are told by management not to give the hangers away, they should clearly tell that to the customers, and not lie to them. If they are allowed to give them out, why are the employees not doing so, as it seems it is a repeated pattern? I am not returning to this weird environment, and rather shop at other Belk stores, which have proven to be more customer-service oriented.

This store is very clean, has friendly personnel, and thier sales are fantastic. Usually a coupon to get even more off. Good quality merchandise.
