Ruby Tuesday

Wonderful place to get together with pals for excellent food at a reasonable price. Fast friendly service, casual atmosphere.

I have eaten at other Ruby Tuesdays and thoroghly enjoyed my visit, but this particular one is at Westfield Towncenter, a big mall, close to my home. I have eaten there several times and was not impressed any time. The wait staff is stressed and slow. They forget things like your drink; a straw; your check. Each time I have eaten there I have had to chase down the wait staff to ask for a check, having waited as much as 20 minutes after finishing my meal. It is a busy place, in a very large mall and I would think it would be in their best interest to be in more of a hurry to clear the table for the next guest. The last time I ate there was last week and it will be the very last time I will darken its doors. The food is good there, but this waiter was the very worst. I was alone and he seated me in a two-seater booth by the bar. Brought me a menu and my drink and disappeared. After about 20 minutes abruptly showed up and in an agitated tone of voice asked me if I was ready to order, which of course I was, being very hungry from shopping. All I wanted was the salad bar and when I told him that he said I could just help myself and abruptly left! So I did help myself, then after I was finished eating I waited 15 minutes before I chased him down to get my check because the mall was closing and I would not be able to get to my car easily if I waited much longer. He gave me my check and again disappeared! So I took the check to a person at the front register (I was paying with a credit card.) After explaining what happened, she asked me to sit back down, then had the waiter take my check to his station to process the payment. He was very surly and had no apology for me either. (During this entire time I was very nice. I am very patient, nice person and never give working people a hard time.) Probably should have at least called the manager and reported him but I do not do that kind of thing. I just did not tip him (I am usually a big tipper) and will not eat there again, no matter how hungry I am.
