The department s Highway Operations Division provides roadway landscaping and pond enhancement, mowing, grading, tree trimming, the repair and replacement of roadside drainage, and guardrail and handrail maintenance services. The Pinellas County Highway Department additionally manages storm water management division that constructs and maintains waterways and drainage structures. Its vegetation management division controls aquatic weeds in ponds, canals, ditches and creeks and provides chemical spraying services.
