Highly recommend! I have always had amazing experiences with Dr. Schulte and everyone else who works there. I have been going there for ten plus years and I have never had a negative experience. They have an amazing selection of frames and the decor of the entire suite was great! Everyone on staff was extremely helpful with the process of selecting the right lenses for myself. Everyone in my family who needs glasses or contacts gets them from there and they arrive pretty quickly. I've always had overall positive experiences there and will continue to get glasses from them for a long time!

Dr. Schulte has been excellent in taking care of my family. The office is so knowledgable, organized and friendly. She was able to fit me in for vision changes, diagnosed a retinal tear and got me to the best specialists for laser surgery in one day. I would highly recommend her to anyone!

Would not suggest this place. There were 2 good things about the place the decor was very unique and eye doctor seemed nice. This place is really awful, however. Wait times seem to be about an hour sometimes a little more to see the doctor - I found that to be ridiculous. The biggest thing though is their billing methods. My husband went in with insurance and ended up with a surprise bill of over $1,000.00 yes that is not a typo - the last $500 of which we received a surprise bill 3 months after the exam. Total out of pocket for us was over $700 after insurance. It was insane. Basically without asking extra things were added on to the bill (such as an upgrade to anti-reflective lenses), some of the other charges were special tests the the doctor suggested - this resulted in over $300. Other charges added up as well such as an extra contact exam charge on top of the $200 normal exam charge and $50 to get his eyes dilated. This place was ridiculous. Would not suggest to anybody.

Would not suggest this place! There were 2 good things about the entire place: the decor was very unique like a boutique almost and the eye doctor seemed personable. This place is really awful, however. Wait times seem to be about an hour sometimes a little more to see the doctor - my husband and I each went for an appointment and a follow-up at different times and all 4 times the wait was about an hour - I found that to be ridiculous.

The biggest thing though is their billing methods. When I went, they tried to get me to pay for my contact lenses out of pocket however I knew my insurance coverage well and called and talked to them and I had 100% coverage on a year of contacts - so I avoided the issue after multiple phone calls and walked out with a contact exam and contacts. My husband went in with different insurance and ended up with a surprise bill of over $1,000.00 yes that is not a typo - the last $500 of which we received a surprise bill 3 months after the exam. Total out of pocket for us was over $700 after insurance. It was insane. Basically without asking and in some cases after my husband had specifically said that he didn't want something it was added on to the bill (such as a special $99 upgrade to anti-reflective lenses), some of the other charges were related to special tests the the doctor suggested would normally be covered by medical insurance - this resulted in over $300 and we did not have insurance that covered them. Other charges added up as well such as an extra contact exam charge on top of the $200 glasses exam charge and $50 to get his eyes dilated. This place was ridiculous. They definitely have some questionable billing practices and they are not people I feel I can trust anymore. Would not suggest to anybody.

My New Eyecare Doctor!

I have been wearing glasses for the last 20 years and have always gone to another eye are provide in Clarkston (that I loved) but when my company got new insurance I has to switch. I checked out a couple of places and Allison was the closest and seemed the best choice. I was nervous but they were incredibly thourough and very friendly. I think I found my new eyecare doctor!

Consider trusting your preciou...

Consider trusting your precious eyes to another eyecare provider. I received a pari of glasses that made me dizzy. Went back in but was told to continue to try tow ear them - that I would ge tused to them. Never did. I am out hundreds of dollars and without good vision. No offer of further help.

At Allison Eye Care we never tell someone "to get use to them". I will make the patient happy with a new set of lenses or refund something back to the patient. We have a 30 day no questions asked remake policy that does not cost a penny to the patient. Our Doctor has a very low remake on all prescriptions including contacts. Not knowing who this patient is, I can not rectify the situation.

I went to a newly opened place close by, and was they were unable to get my prescription right. One visit to Allison Eye Care, and problem fixed. I won't go anywhere else again. You just can't skimp with your eyes!

Beware of extra charges over and above of what you are told is your co-pay. Paid in full at the time of my appointment, then "additional charges" appeared on a statement from Allison Eye Care which my insurance didn't cover. BEWARE! You can dispute the charges but they will turn it over to a collection agency and attach it to your credit report. EXPENSIVE.....NOT GREAT SERVICE.......DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!
