United Kids Tutoring Center's (UKTC) mission is to inspire and motivate students to embrace the love of learning, to help students become engaged in active learning and to make sure that students have access to quality educational materials and tools they need to succeed in school and beyond. Enriching the lives of students by instilling knowledge, improve their learning ability and model lifelong love of learning is what we do! We want to make learning fun and a lifelong adventure that doesn't end once school is over. Therefore we are committed to provide students with educational services and tools that support their unique learning styles and abilities and offer them fun learning experiences aimed at raising student's learning bar into a higher level by integrating academic standards and performance, character development; knowledge development, problem-solving and school readiness skills. Balancing the students academic, social, and emotional needs and interest, and prepare them for success in school and in life is our pledge and commitment we proudly embrace. We offer individualized and customized learning programs and instructional education services and intervention that are essential for student achievement and classroom success. We provide students in K-12 and beyond opportunity to fully-engage their creativity and ability to learn, perform, and advance academically. We offer tutoring, mentoring, and coaching services in all K-12 subjects and beyond. We help with SAT and ACT Preparation, Standardized Test Preparation.PSAT and SSAT/ISEE Preparation, College Application Essays, and College Counseling. At UKTC, we believe students should learn and understand; we teach knowledge and students build-in knowledge. We have committed ourselves to effective and proven-research programs and instructions in all areas of learning process with results you can see in first to second month of learning with us. We believe in our students and students believe in us! Our intervention and knowledge development Programs for K-12: • Literacy & Language Arts Learning- students learn to read and write. We teach reading comprehension, reading response and independent reading; help with learning some selected foreign languages (Spanish and Swahili). On language arts we help with writing, spelling, vocabulary and grammar. We help students develop and improve their sensory-cognitive functions for reading and writing through programs such as McGraw Hill Education programs- SRA FLEX Literacy, SRA Reading Mastery, Reading Recovery, Reading Rocket, etc. • Math learning skills-students improve math skills through our proven-research programs, our strategies of individualized one-on-one instruction, and our commitment to performance standards and quality time we spend with our students.Our math intervention programs include: McGraw Hill Glencoe, Illuminations Resources for Teaching Math, Number Worlds, Connecting Math Concepts, Fun Brain, Math Playground, etc. • STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math education).
