Habersham County Animal Shelter

Did you adopt under a different name? Nobody by that last name is listed in the database over the past 5 years. Strange.....

Is there a reason that you did not contact the shelter when the first animal was "deathly ill". YET this was so terrible, and you returned for another? If animal control impounds your animal due to cruelty, the appropriate recourse is not to lie and cause the death of other animals by discouraging people to come here. Congrats "Dr." Congrats.

I have never seen such an unorganized train wreck of an animal shelter. I myself adopted 2 animals over the past three years. The first one was sick within 2 days and after $600 in vet bills was ok. The second animal was also sick within two days and after $500 in vets bills it died. The insurance that comes with the animal refused to pay for any bills. I know four other people who have adopted animals from Habersham shelter and all were sick within a week and one died. This place should be shut down.
