        This is a family business with a family atmosphere. We love animals. When your pet stays with us, your pet becomes part of our family. We don't just put pets in kennels and ignore them. We interact with each pet each day. The pets we have for sale include dogs, small animals, reptiles and exotic birds. We do our best to match the pets we sell with loving families. We offer personal attention to each pet boarded, individually walked 3 times daily. We have plenty of space to run and play. Our facility is almost 17,000 square feet with over 3 acres of land to run and play. Pets are only let outside with personal supervision. Each pet has its own personal kennel. Daily photo.s or video of your pet while staying with us is available upon request. The level of socialization with other animals is up to you. Special instructions, feeding, medications, etc. are no problem. Your pet's positive experience is our first priority. Your pet is treated as part of our family.

        Apparently I can t give 0 stars-I recently took one of my small dogs for a nail trimming. Once she returned to me about 10 minutes later, my dog s eye was bloodshot and there was a knot on top of her head and growing. I took her straight to the vet who stated she suffered from a burst blood vessel. After I contacted PPS back, they said it was typical , it happens with all small dogs , and that I wasted my money by taking her to the vet. In my opinion, if it is so common, why didn t they say something before they took her back, during when she was upset and hard to control, or after when there was something obviously wrong with her. The vet instructed me that, if not treated, it could cause vision loss so it seems to be important to pet owners that they know this information and that it could happen if it s so typical . I know you re probably wondering why I didn t confront them about it right then and there after she was brought back out to me, I thought taking her straight to the vet was the best for her at the time instead of wasting my time arguing with these incompetent people that obviously do not take into consideration how pet owners view their highly loved pets.



        PPS stated that the nail groomer had to hold her under her arm to make her cooperate and get her nails cut. However, again, I ask why didn t you tell me she was not cooperating and that if she uses force, tell me what can happen instead of just doing it, bringing her out like nothing was wrong and then tell me I wasted my own money. I firmly believe, however, that she hit my 3-pound dog because she was terribly frightened of everyone after we made it back home. Thankfully, three vet visits later and money wasted according to PPS, she is better after the medications the vet gave me, but had I not taken her straight to the vet, I fear what could have happened to her. Or if I would not have been waiting for her, if they had to keep her for a longer period of time.. I don t even want to think about it. Please tell your friends-no dog deserves to be treated this way and I believe that the entire team at PPS knew what happened but tried to sugar coat it when speaking with me.

        At Pet Pro Shop we take any complaint very seriously. Your pet's health and well being is always our top priority. We always take our time when grooming to make sure the dog is not overly stressed. We received this complaint by phone call in the evening. The caller advised us that she had brought her small dog in that morning for a nail trim. She did not complain at the time her dog was presented to her. The only complaint the caller made was of her dog's bloodshot eye, a knot on her dog's head was never mentioned. While we cannot confirm that her dog had a bloodshot eye while having her nails done, although it is rare, it can happen, usually with smaller dogs, if they get anxious during the nail trim. We always try very hard to avoid that when trimming small dog nails. If it did happen we would point it out to the customer when presenting the dog at pick up. Unfortunately we had no visual confirmation of this compliant. We have many loyal customers whose dogs we groom and trim nails regularly. We love dogs and take every effort to make the grooming experience a good one for the dog and owner. Although rare, we take any complaint very seriously. We would appreciate this person coming in to talk to us in person and giving us another chance to prove how much we love and care for pets as if they were our own.
