The Circleville Herald is a multimedia news organization with a daily community newspaper with a circulation of 6,600 publishing five days per week (Tues-Sat) serving Pickaway County Ohio and the surrounding region. The Circleville Herald also produces this website, www.circlevilletoday.com. The Circleville Herald is consistently recognized each year by the Ohio Associated Press Society garnering accolades for photography, breaking news, sports coverage and page design. Established in 1817 as The Olive Branch, the Circleville Herald began publishing under its current name in 1832 as a weekly publication. Daily publishing began in 1894 and has not stopped since. Ownership has changed over the years, and currently the Herald is owned by American Consolidated Media (ACM) of Dallas, Texas. The paper and related products are part of ACM-Ohio, which is a regional group of newspapers including the Athens Messenger, Jackson County Times-Journal, News Watchman (Waverly/Pike County), Perry County Tribune, Vinton County Courier and Logan Daily News. Our news coverage encompasses the entire region and all communities within Pickaway County including the school districts of Circleville, Logan Elm, Teays Valley, Westfall and Amanda Clearcreek.??The Circleville Herald and its employees are involved in numerous community events and organizations including Pumpkin Show, Third Thursdays, Pickaway County Chamber of Commerce, Rotary International, United Way, Pickaway County Fair, Tecumseh!, Roundtown Players and other civic and private organizations.
