Bailey's Surf and Turf

My wife and I have been to Bailey's many times because it was close to home and the food was okay. Our last visit was horribly embarrassing as we actually had the owner come to our table to address a complaint I had. I asked what size the steak was that I had ordered. She responded that it was 20 ounces. I had not eaten any of the steak yet but it was a little on the small side. I told her I thought it was too small and she yelled that I just wanted to have a problem. She then sarcastically asked if I wanted a scale to weigh the steak. I said it was fine and It would be ok the way it was. She stormed off and the waitress (very courteous, by the way) asked if she could get anything else for us. After thinking about it and already having everyone in the restaurant staring at us, I told the waitress I, in fact, would like to see the scale the owner mentioned. She brought the scale out and placed my steak on the it. The digital scale read 10.3 ounces. The menu said the steak was 20 ounces. I had ordered the same steak several times before and it had always been undersized but this just confirmed it. I honestly didn't care if it was a bit smaller due to cooking but this was simply lying about the size and charging double for it. Apparently, this is an every day practice for Bailey's. I found out when I paid my bill that night that the waitress had been fired for bringing the scale out to me. I can't let something like this go. The wait-staff works hard and for the poor management to treat them this way is unforgivable. I will simply never visit this restaurant again.

Came all the way from Montana for some good southern cooking and got it! Servers were right on it and very friendly

They had a good selection of seafood on the bar but the clams were dried out. The crab legs were of a low quality. The meat on th crab legs stuck to the shells. The shrimp and oysters were excellent. The crab patties in the shell were overcooked. I would go again to eat oysters and shrimp but would not buy the seafood bar!

We went there for the first time this past weekend.We had the seafood buffet.It was the best we have ever had.Everything was so fresh and very very Good.We wiil be going back soon.LOVED IT.
