Sonic Drive-In

Two friends and I visited this sonic and were less than pleased with the experience. I was the only one who carried cash, the other two had debit/credit cards. We ordered and received our food from a less-then-pleasant woman who then took our payment. She returned several minutes later to inform us that their machine had suddenly gone down and wouldn't accept the cards.



Well, I'd paid with cash, so I was fine, but my two friends had no cash on them. We were all about halfway through with our meal when she informed us of this.



Now, I was later informed by another friend that when a business's machine goes down, they consider THEMSELVES at fault. If the customer already ordered and received the meal when the machine stopped working, and that was their only way to pay, then the restaurant lets them keep the meal, since it was NOT the customers fault that the machine suddenly failed.



This, however was not what the woman had Sonic did. Rather than let us keep the already half-eaten meal, she informed us that she needed to throw the food away.



This. Makes. No. Sense.



I paid for my first friend's meal while my other friend went and found an ATM. We finished out meals as fast as possible and left. I have not gone back to that Sonic since and anytime someone want to eat out, I specifically tell them to avoid the Sonic.



My other issue is that Sonic has completely changed it's menu. I used to eat at the Blanchard Sonic regularly, but they no longer carry most of the items I loved. This is highly upsetting and now I rarely go to any Sonic.

TOOK OFF yes, not by many persons may have considered as good. But my point of view to somewhere else away from their traditional old menu. What I am trying to say is they changed the menu and I'm no longer a big fan anymore. Reason is...it discontinued some items that formerly why I went in to eat there. i wish they would step back to its older menue. There was no poll given earlier. No idea, but maybe new owner or Manager?
