Peak Properties

A TERRIBLE property management company. Too many stories to tell. But here are the top five in the year and a half I have rented from them on Giddings in Lincoln Square. I’m sure I will have more by the time my lease ends.

1. After 3 requests and no response to a rodent infestation in my unit and building. I bought 10 traps and 4 poison dispensaries and put them throughout THE BUILDING and my unit. 2 days later the problem was solved after I killed about 20 mice in traps, not sure how many were poisoned.
2. My refrigerator stopped cooling, I got a confirmed time maintenance would show up to fix and they didn’t show up 2 separate scheduled times. I paid out of pocket for someone else to get it fixed.
3. Smoke alarm going off in an unoccupied unit at 10p, I call emergency maintenance and they will not come until the next day to fix. They didn’t fix til 2 days later.
4. Tenant moved out below me, power got shut off to unit in the middle of winter, my apartment couldn’t heat above 55, my kitchen pipes froze, my heating bill was 5 times what it was in a normal winter month and they wouldn’t refund.
5. Maintenance scheduler lady is extremely rude, unprofessional and does not pay attention to details like unit number and actual problem described. The actual people who perform the maintenance are nice and end up finding out through direct conversations with myself and other tenants that they were misinformed to the actual problems. I blame alot of these issues on her.

I have rented my beautiful apartment for nine years. I have always found the management to be most helpful. Especially, Oscar Luna at Peak Properties. He is great in helping me with anything I need. I'm looking to living here for many more years.

Do not ever rent with this company. They don't seem to understand what customer service means. All they care about is money and nothing else.They don't even deserve one star!

I really don't know where to start other than by saying, this is the most ridiculous experience I have ever had! I don't know how they even managed to take over. My property manager, Toska, is extremely detached from her whole purpose of the job. I don't even understand how this operation is even legal. I am so disappointed. I spend my hard earned monies paying these people just for them to neglect my every request and or need. Every time I turn around I think something will be resolved just for me to again be left in the dark. Broken elevator ( live on the 6th floor), mold issues in my units, ( they care nothing about me having to breathe that mess in)... RUDE & IGNORANT PROPERTY MANGER.

I can seriously go on and about how terrible my experience is with them.

I'm so disgusted.

The apartment I had been living in for years was bought and Peak Properties took over the building. The whole experience was terrible, they left notices to contact account managers but provided incorrect numbers, then our account manager changed 3 times, each not knowing what had been discussed with the previous. Not to mention- on top of all this the notices they were leaving on our door had NOTHING to do with our contact with the account managers. These notices claimed to be changing locks, gave us 5 day evacuation notices, told us to clear our things out, that they were changing windows, strangers would check the doors and try to get in on multiple occasions. Once a person showed up and practically threw papers at me like I was wasting her time and would not respond to me. What takes the cake: This all happened with 1 month! I had to get out of this situation asap. It's as if Peak Properties are there just to obfuscate any communication to create a state of chaos and confusion. Where did this place come from? Who are these people? Having .biz in your URL doesn't a business make!
