Dental Examination

Teeth Cleaning
The best possible way to avoid dental problems such as cavities, gum disease, dental pain and other emergencies is to prevent them in the first place. A great at-home oral hygiene routine, plus visits to see your dentist for regular check-ups and dental cleanings every 6 months is an unbeatable combination in prevention.
Fluoride Treatment
Dental Sealants
Dental sealants act as a barrier to prevent cavities. Sealants are made of a plastic material, and are usually applied to the chewing surfaces of the back teeth (premolars and molars) where decay occurs most often. Space Maintainers
Phase I treatment is focused on ensuring that your child’s mouth has room for teeth to grow into their proper places, improving the alignment of the jaws, as well as the relationship between the upper and lower jaws. Phase I treatment can include appliances such as retainers and space maintainers, and interventions that can be done right at home to improve oral health and ideally prevent the need for orthodontic treatment in the future. Phase I may also be recommended if your child’s orthodontist has identified a potential severe issue with the growth and development of the jaw, arch development, possible trauma to protruding teeth, etc.

Pulpotomy
A pulpotomy is the surgical removal of an inflamed pulp chamber in a child’s tooth that has been compromised due to untreated cavities and decay. Bacteria must be removed from the pulp chamber inside the child’s tooth in order to prevent or alleviate an abscess or infection. A pulpotomy is commonly referred to as a “baby tooth root canal.”
Root Canal Treatment

Gingivectomy and Gingivoplasty
Deep Cleaning
First, your dentist or dental hygienist will numb the area to be treated. Then your dentist or hygienist will perform a deep cleaning (scaling) to remove calculus (build-up) underneath the gum line, all the way to the roots of the teeth. This also removes the bacteria that are causing the infection. Your dentist may also smooth down areas of the root (planing) to prevent bacteria from finding places to collect in the future.

Dentures
Full or partial dentures can be a helpful restorative option for people who are missing several or even all of their teeth. Dentures are designed to be worn every day and removed at night. They are designed to sit over the gums and around any existing teeth. However, it is important to note that dentures cannot serve as a replacement for teeth; rather, they are an alternative to the absence of teeth.
