Student Visas
If you are legally in the United States on an F-1 Student Visa, or in another non-immigrant status, you may be eligible to change your status to an H-1B category. An advantage to an H-1B visa is that it allows a person to legally remain in the US for employment purposes. It also allows them to travel inside or outside the United States, or remain here until the visa expires. H-4 Visas are available for accompanying family members of H-1B holders. An H-1B Employment Visa is a lawful way to bring a foreign professional temporarily into the United States for employment purposes.
