        KDT Sports was founded by Dr. Kamilah Hampton, a sports mom who saw a huge need in the Chicagoland area and David Reed a respected baseball coach experiencing seeing a need for high quality athletic training among black and brown athletes. Within the Chicagoland area there are sports facilities, many of them only supporting or addressing a specific need. The facilities that were larger resided in a location not accessible to all student athletes. Many of them of these facilities provide context around supporting student academics yet there is an alarming need for student’s achieving at higher levels especially after experiencing education virtually in a global pandemic. Sports and educational programming for ALL student athletes is KDT Sport’s priority and goal. As an educator and principal, Kamilah set to establish a facility that not only met the needs of student athletes but a place where parents, coaches, trainers and sports teams feel valued.
