Primary Care
I have been a patient of Dr. Ahlering for over 10 years. It is my understanding that he focuses solely on Gynecology. I appreciate this as I decided at a young age to not have children. Other Gynecologists in other practices that I’ve seen are hyper focused on Obstetrics so I always felt like a second class citizen in their offices. I’ve always received excellent care from the entire medical staff and office. They’ve implemented a very easy to use text messaging system, and I can easily view all my labs and other info online. I am looking forward to using them as my source for Primary Care as well now that they have added that.

Gynecology
Dr. Ahlering is a nationally recognized expert in minimally invasive gynecology, focusing on the most revolutionary and innovative techniques to treat gynecological problems with minimal recovery time and return to normal function as quickly as possible. He and his team of infertility specialist staff also have developed one of the most successful and attentive fertility clinics in the Midwest. His other area of focus is bioidentical hormone supplementation, having been the leader in introducing pellet therapy to the St. Louis market.

Dr. Muckerman is an expert in general obstetrics with an emphasis on high-risk pregnancy. He has delivered close to 8,000 babies and makes each one special. He has a large gynecologic practice with an emphasis on perimenopause and menopause. His menopause practice focuses on bioidentical hormone replacement therapy. Every Gyn patient is offered a hereditary cancer risk assessment. Every Gyn patient has their personal cancer prevention program.

Pregnancy
During this high risk pregnancy I experienced terrible hip and back pain when walking. I cannot receive traditional chiropractic treatment as I have a full spinal fusion with spinal instrumentation (as a result of scoliosis). Dr Garrett began treatment and within 2 sessions I could walk again without terrible pain. I continued to see her throughout my pregnancy to treat the pelvic pain and it helped immensely. Now postpartum I’m still going for treatment. I’m so thankful for Dr Garrett’s expertise and encouragement. She relieved my pain and also helped me gain confidence in the birthing process. I strongly recommend seeing Dr Garret if you’re pregnant!

Hi! My name is Kirsten Huff and I am your newest Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner at St. Louis Women’s Healthcare Group! I am a small-town girl from Southeast Missouri, Fredericktown to be exact. I started my career in healthcare back in 2011 as a CNA in a long-term care facility while I worked my way through college. I graduated from Mineral Area College’s Nursing program as an LPN in 2014 and then as an RN in 2015. After obtaining my RN license, I was blessed to get my dream job working full time as a Labor and Delivery Nurse at Parkland Health Center in Farmington. I also worked in Labor and Delivery at Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital. I always knew I had a passion for women’s healthcare and working in labor and delivery just fueled that passion and solidified that I was doing what I knew I was meant to do. I have worked in Labor and Delivery ever since up until 2019 when I decided that I wanted to be able to do more for my patients and expand my knowledge. I attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City and obtained my masters to become a Nurse Practitioner with a specialty in Women’s Health. My mission is to provide individualized care to women of all ages in all stages of their life by acknowledging their unique situations, providing education that will help them to meet their goals, and providing unconditionally compassionate, high-quality care.

Our group provides a wide variety of gynecological services for women of all ages. We provide our patients with individualized preventive care services such as STD, cervical cancer and breast cancer screenings, annual wellness visits and contraception including long-acting reversible contraception (LARC’s such as IUD’s and Nexplanon ) permanent sterilization: we offer laparoscopic bilateral salpingectomy due to its 100% success rate and effect of reducing the risk of ovarian cancer, and we offer vasectomy services performed in our office by the esteemed urology practice Vasectomies of St. Louis.
