No, but the medical evaluation is complimentary, and you will receive a written diagnosis to bring to your primary care physician, your psychologist, or your psychiatrist. Compensation is provided by the study Sponsor for study subjects and eligibility for a study is set by the study Sponsor.
Emergency Care
Electrocardiogram
Unfortunately, the Screening Visit can be very lengthy, anywhere from 3-4 hours. First, you need to review and then sign the informed consent. Then we will obtain your complete medical history, medication history, and perform several study specific psychiatric assessments. We will also get your vital signs, draw laboratory specimens, and do and electrocardiogram (ECG). The results of these procedures will let us know if you qualify to continue in the study. You will be compensated by check for the Screening Visit per the amount specified in the informed consent (usually at least $100 per visit).

Internal Medicine
Kim is a dedicated and experienced clinical research professional. Kim received her training and certification as a Medical Assistant from the Omega Institute where she was on the Dean’s List and received numerous awards for her academic achievements. She also received her CCRC certification from the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP). Kim brings to CFEF her dedicated and caring manner and her experience with over 175 clinical trials since 1999 including psychiatric and internal medicine trials. Kim manages all of the clinical trials conducted at CFEF. She also conducts in-house audits to assure adherence to protocols, GCPs, CFRs, and SOPs and develops systems, procedures and processes to improve both overall staff performance and study conduct. Kim had been with CFEF since 2002.

Neurology
Dr. Leon Rosenberg graduated from Harvard University with Honors in Biology in 1974 and received his Medical Degree from the State University of New York–Upstate Medical Center at Syracuse in 1978. He has been working in the field of psychiatry since then, beginning with an Internship in Psychiatry at Long Island Jewish-Hillside Hospital and followed by a residency in Adult Psychiatry at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania from 1979 to 1981. He then completed a two year fellowship in Child Psychiatry at Hahnemann University Hospital in 1983. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Psychiatry, and he completed a two year fellowship in Child Psychiatry.

Stress Management
Dr. Leon Rosenberg is an experienced child and adolescent psychiatrist who relates well to students and their families. He will give your district comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and will give your families and students a blueprint for understanding their problems and will also point them in the right direction for solving or ameliorating their problems. Dr. Rosenberg has been performing psychiatric evaluations with Child Study Teams for many years and knows the importance of having your students seen in a timely manner. Therefore, students are seen within two weeks of your first contact with our office and the report sent to your school no more than one week after the evaluation is completed. Dr. Rosenberg can also schedule either a half-day or a full day at your school if a minimum number of evaluations can be guaranteed. In-services are also available for child study teams, teachers, administrators and parent groups. An all-inclusive talk entitled “Psychiatric Diagnosis for School Personnel,” which uses The Authoritative Guide to Psychiatric Diagnosis as a text, is either a half day or a full day seminar. Other topics included “Treatment Options for Childhood Onset Mental Illness” and “Stress Management Techniques for School Personnel”. Prior to being seen the students and their parents/guardians need to complete the appropriate paperwork.
Mental Health
The mission at Center for Emotional Fitness (CFEF) is to offer cutting edge research studies at no cost to those with mental health issues in Southern NJ and the Philadelphia region. CFEF is also a comprehensive mental-health treatment center located in Cherry Hill, NJ. CFEF offers psychiatric services provided by Dr. Leon Rosenberg that include medication management, psychotherapy, addiction treatment, family counseling, group therapy, hypnosis and hypnotherapy. We also conduct research studies (clinical trials) that evaluate new psychiatric medications, which can provide a cost-free alternative to traditional psychiatric care.
Psychiatry
Dr. Rosenberg has been in the private practice of adult, adolescent and child psychiatry since 1982. He has been the President and Medical Director of the Center for Emotional Fitness since 1983. His dedication and caring manner have earned him the respect of both patients and colleagues. His treatment philosophy centers on patients’ well-being by educating patients to promote their own Emotional Fitness by understanding their conditions. Dr. Rosenberg has been conducting clinical trials in psychiatric medicine since 1995. He has been the Principal Investigator of over 175 clinical trials.
