Sweet Basil Thai Cuisine

Good food but service kinda sucks...

Sweet Basil has some of the best Thai food in Chattanooga. They have daily lunch box specials, which is great for those of us with 9 to 5s. Their chicken pad Thai is my favorite, but the spicy spaghetti is also amazing. A word to those just toeing the Thai food waters - when they say spicy they mean it! Start out with mild and work your way up. Sweet Basil is a tad pricey - a lunch special will run you about $8 but it's worth every mouthwatering bite.

3rd best Thai in Chattanooga. food is good, not great. service is good, not great sometimes very slow. outrageously over priced and you leave hungry. Rain put a hurtin' on them big time.

Having spent time in Thailand, I can say with some degree of authority that this is an excellent Thai

eatery. The food is well prepared and spiced perfectly to one's taste.

The service is excellent, and quite attentive to the diners needs.

Almost $30 for a meal for my wife and I and, they served it to us cold. I told the waitress about it and she didn't say anything she just put it in a to go box. The food looked nice but the small portion size, high price, and lack of heat didn't make me want to sit there while the teenager behind to us spoke at the top of his lungs about how fun it is to get "wasted" to his questionably younger girlfriend... My wife has never seen my angry or annoyed enough to want to leave a restaurant, but it just happened to be the right place at the right time. All and all:
