I have used Occasions many times over the past 14 years for my business lunches. It is very clear there are bitter people who if they dont' get what they want or cannot afford catering willhblast a company on the internet. I see it all the time as I own a marketing firm. THis company does a wonderful job and they are never rude. Please feel free to contact me as a reference for this company.

This company ruined my sister's wedding. They were rude. The food was a solid okay. It would have tasted great if it had not been cold. The owner, Melissa, was anything but sweet. She acted as if we were all in their way and my sister's wedding was the last place she wished to be. They varied from the time schedule to cut the cake, serve dinner and the toast. Don't wont your money, because you're only going to get one wedding day.

BEWARE! Horrible catering company! Do Not Use! RUDE, RUDE, RUDE!

I would like to take the time to respond to the review of Megan V. I have used Occasions Catering for both corporate and social events. I have also recommended them to several contacts as well as personal friends. I have always had consistent professional service not to mention mouthwatering quality food, and yes salt and pepper was provided.



You've said they cut the cake early. I find that incredibly hard to believe. I have been to 3 weddings done by Occasions and that has never been the case. Why would someone take that upon themselves? Maybe they were told to do that by someone in the party?



From my personal experiences with this caterer I have to say it is hard to believe that a lot of what you are saying holds truth and validity.



Melissa and staff please hold your heads high and don't this get you down! You guys do a great job 100% of the time I have had the pleasure of working with you! Keep it up!

I wish I could give them zero stars. Owner, Melissa, was the sweetest women in the world until I signed the contract, then she started getting short, rude and not wanting to help us. We constantly got different answers that came from their office. The day of my wedding they cut my cake prior to us cutting the cake and 30 minutes prior to the scheduled time. I have e-mails with the agreed time schedule on it. I now have no pictures of my cake or of us cutting it. They even started serving dinner 30minutes early, so we did not get to complete our pictures. They began to provide horrible customer service the moment we signed the contract. They were rude and even arrived late the day of the event. They arrived at 3:45pm for a 4pm wedding, instead of the agreed upon 2:45pm. We asked for refund for the cake and they offered us a free catered party for up to four people and stated we would have to pickup the food in Charlotte since we lived in SC. Also, the food was cold day of. When guests asked for butter for the bread or salt&pepper Occasions stated they would not provide such items because it would be an insult to the chef. I believe any positive comments are from the company themselves. If you have any questions about my experience, feel free to ask. I can send you both pictures and guests stories. If I can help prevent one other bride from going through what I went through, then I will feel a little better about my horrible experience.

Occasions catered my sister's wedding this summer and did a fabulous job. Melissa went out of her way to meet us after the rehearsal dinner to give us a key to the facility and just weny above and beyond. The food was wonderful and plentiful, the seafood station was a big hit. Thank you and nice job.

Occasions Catering caterered my dad's 80th birthday party last Saturday and they did a wonderful job. Despite the rain and bad weather they smiled and did their job. You would never have known what they were dealing with from the back of the house( the party was outside at a park, with no shelter for the caterers).

Nice work Occasions, you are very professional.
