Modern Nails

They do a great job and you can even drop in without an appointment to have your nails done. The place is pretty nice with comfortable seats. The staff is friendly and talented. I have been pretty happy with the level of service and the quality of manicures I've received so far.

The salon is decorated beautifully and very clean. The sweet girl took her time and was a perfectionist with my nails. She filed them beautifully and looked at every little detail. I will definitely be going back here again to get my nails done. Thank you so much! You made my trip there a pleasure!

I've been coming here for my gel full sets for a couple of months now and have always been happy with how my nails turn out. Gel tips can sometimes come out too chunky and fake looking at other salons, but going here my nails always turn out natural looking and last 2-3 weeks. The salon is small but cute, and the workers are friendly and treat their regulars very well

AVOID!!! DO NOT GO THIS SALON - TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!



I have been getting my nails done (acryllic/gel) for over a decade. In that time, I have been to numerous nail salons (too many to even count actually) and I have never seen poorer quality of work than I did at this salon. I asked for a simple fill which is a routine service. They first used this strange technique as oppossed to using a brush and overlaying the acryllic on the top of the nail.here is still a gap b/t my cuticle and the acryllic defeating the whole purpose of asking for a fill. I advised the technician of this and she simply put some powder in the area which did nothing to solve the problem. The nails are too thick, the polish is streaky and my nails look no better off then when I went into the salon. The only difference now is that I have less money in my bank account. i wonder that these technicicans were even able to recieve a license from the State of North carolina. Please be advised and avoid this nail salon at all cost!!! Luckily, there are plenty other nail salons Charlotte has to offer so dont make the same mistake that I did!!

I am never going back there again. First, the manicure and pedicure was painful. The rude girl mentioned in the previous review did my pedicure and did not pay attention to how hard she was buffing/filing my nails and that she was rubbing the skin around my nails raw. The guy who did my manicure, while more polite, did just as bad of a job on my hands. I have bandaids on my fingers because of the raw spots on my skin near my nails. The cut on one of my fingers even looks like it may be infected now. I have my doubts as to whether this place would pass a health inspection. As far is the aesthetic appeal of the mani and pedi - my nails look pretty bad. I think I could have done a better job painting my nails blindfolded. I guess its no surprise why my toe nails looks awful - the rude girl was on the phone the whole time talking about her plans when she got off work. Although the guy seemed to pay attention to what he was doing, he still did a poor job. The only reason I went to this salon was because the salon I usually go to closed and I was in a hurry so didn't have time to go online and look at ratings.

I am really picky about how my pink and white's are done. If you go to Modern Nails, you will be so happy you did because they want you to leave completely satisfied with the service. They give you your own buffer and file so that they dont use other people's germs on your nails, and they offer you a drink as soon as you arrive. Very friendly, and QUALITY work. Such a relief to find an awesome nail salon in an industry where people tend to be pushy, rude, and want you in and out as quickly as possible.

The nail technicians are sweet and they did a phenomenal job on my nails :D Finally there's a place in Southend where you can actually relax!!!
