They called the day before our appointment(choosing flowers for wedding) and asked if I could come in one hour earlier. I explained I couldn't because my fiance was working. The woman on the phone was speaking to another woman who works in the shop and relayed the message to her that I was unable to come in earlier. I was then told that because I couldn't adjust our time for that day, it would cut down on the time allotted to us for the appointment. I was then told that my fiance didn't need to accompany me to pick out the flowers. They didn't explain the reason for wanting to change my appointment time until I started pressing the issue. Turns out they double booked. I asked why my fiance and I were going to be deducted time from our appointment because of their mistake. I told them I would need to speak with my fiance before I could reschedule- I was a little upset at this point. Then the other lady picked up the phone and said she 'has a fabulous bride who's really easy to work with' and she would contact her to reschedule instead. Although they rescheduled the other bride's appointment, I did not feel comfortable keeping the appointment with them because I did not feel they were very professional to begin with. I'm sure there are other customers who are very satisfied with their service and I understand that mistakes happen. However the lack of professionalism did not make me want to work with them. Unfortunately, they were not a good fit for us.

It seems this establishment has grown comfortable and complacent with the fact that they have existed for 27 years (a point that was pompously boasted by the florists several times during our dispute) so much so that they take for granted having high standards and simple courtesy. The shop itself is a clear representation of a rusty, stubborn, and inflexible nature as it is decorated with dusty old plastic flowers, dated trinkets and I dare underwhelming arrangements. If you are a loyal patron of this establishment, I encourage you to raise your personal standards. If you are considering trying this place for the first time, simply put, don't waste your time. You would be doing the recipients of your flowers a huge injustice.
If you care to know why I make these claims, bare with me and read on...
I placed an order online for an arrangement for my mother's birthday. It was beautiful and lush filled with long stem tulips and several branches of elegant pine. It was crisp and classic with a simple silver bow. I later went into the shop to select balloons to be added to the order. Firstly they did not want to add the balloons "we don't want to deliver 5 balloons, we're very busy and our truck will be full. Besides your arrangement isn't that big anyway" I was a little taken back by this response. After all, I wasn't asking for free balloons, I was attempting to pay for the product and services. To avoid issue, I politely cut down on my balloon order for THEIR convenience. Because she mentioned the arrangement being small, I asked if I could see an arrangement similar to mine so I could have some idea of the size. She definitely tried to redirect me from that request, but I kindly asked again. They happened to have the same order prepared for someone else and very grudgingly (slamming her hand on the counter before walking off) pulled it out to show me. I was shocked to see a set of tulips barely peeking out above the brim of the vase with two sad little pine branches a tacky green ribbon and two round Christmas ornaments randomly hanging off the front of it all. Needless to say, the arrangement was a FAR CRY from what was presented on the website and it was obvious they tried to make up for it by adding the ribbon and ornaments. I would have been tremendously embarrassed to have sent that tired little arrangement to my mother's job for her BIRTHDAY, she deserves much more. I sheepishly said the first thing that came to mind, "Um, that doesn't look anything like the website." Another woman, apparently the owner, rudely walked up to me and snapped off "Well that's what it is and you don't have to buy it!" As a consumer I have never been approached in this manner. I thought of a dozen better responses she could have given "You don't like it? What's wrong with it?" "Can we help you choose something else?" "Sorry, all of our tulip stems broke and we ran out of pine" Anything would have been better than the rude defensive response I was given. It's obvious she became so defensive because she either heard this type of complaint before or knew this item was not all that it should have been. We ended up in a back and forth dispute wherein they took no responsibility for not meeting their own standard for the arrangement and treated me with total disrespect. In a nutshell, the sub-par flower arrangement paired with the sub-par customer service is a mixture for frustration and disappointment! Opt out!

Gallery of Flowers lost my wedding floral order, so even after multiple meetings and conversations, when I went to pick up my bouquets, boutonnieres, and misc. other flowers the day of the ceremony, there was no record of my order to be found. They were completely unorganized and tried to remedy the situation with flowers from Costco. And, on top of it all, when they later delivered their haphazard bouquets to my ceremony site - made from Costco flowers and completely not what I had ordered - their staff seemed quite put off that the owners of the wedding venue had been able to find another vendor to remedy the situation. I was promised a call from the owner of the shop the Monday following the ceremony - but I never heard from them again. At least they quickly processed the refund of the deposit I had paid months in advance.
