I was reluctant to change salons but, gas prices and travel time forced me to try a place closer to home. I got my hair cut & colored at Calm Waters Salon and I love the results. The stylist took the time to show me how I can maintain my new look and different ways to change it. I've gotten so many compliments on the color and style I only wish I'd made the change sooner.

I went into Calm Waters knowing exactly what I wanted. As far as color goes, I asked for a medium chocolate brown with face framing caramel highlights. And for the cut, I wanted to even up the layers I had from a previous hair cut. I asked to have my hair taken up to my shoulders, all of it as close to one length as possible (in other words, no layers). However, I came out with nothing even close to any of this. My hair color turned out fire engine red with almost black lowlights and then she proceeded to cut my hair into a layered bob - with the shortest layer falling near my jaw line and the longest layer hitting the nape of my neck. If you know what you want, I would not recommend this salon because the stylists seem to do what THEY want to do to YOUR hair - even after explicitly asking for something else.
