Ballancrest Academy Preschool

I will be pulling my child out once I found out they are bringing back a teacher that previously left. The staff told me she had an emotional breakdown and job hops. No thanks. I don't need that kind of individual watching MY baby! Be careful!

I could not go on any longer at the place my daughter was and then I heard about Ballancrest from a coworker. We fell in love with it! The owners and teachers are fantastic and so great about keeping me informed about my daughter's progress! I was so impressed with how in depth they were in our parent teacher conference. I am so pleased with the things she is learning and their daily activities! She refuses to leave everyday. My only fear is she will be really bored in Kindergarten :) So pleased! This is certainly a place I would recommend!

I am actually writing to respond to the previous review. My name is Caroline Walker and I own Ballancrest along with my mother, Julie Lease. Julie has a Masters in Gifted Ed. and runs our curriculum and teaches the Pre-K class. I am the Director and run the preschool. This rudeness was unacceptable and not the way we do business. Generally, when someone asks for Julie directly it is a sales call, which does not at all excuse the way she reacted, but I hope helps to explain. We work very hard to be one of the finest preschools in the area and are very proud of our reputation among our parents. I cannot express how much this review saddens me. I have spoken with Julie and we both truly apologize for your experience on the phone. I only hope this reaches you and you accept our apologies. So fabulous! This is exactly what I was looking for. I feel like my daughter is cared for and dosen't get lost in the shuffle as I felt before. It is small, special and has surpassed my expectations!

ABSOLUTELY fabulous! Staff are terrfic, knowledgeable, dedicated, and super friendly. So glad that my son is a part of this program, I know he is getting cared for as well as if he was with family and is being taught things that will just enhance his curiosity. LOVE IT!!!

I will be pulling my children out very soon. My son and daughter attend and we have seen a decline in the care that they receive. Infants and 4 year olds are in the same room at pick up and drop off with few staff available. We were promised "enriching activities" and have yet to see anything like that. The teachers are educated and willing to provide a loving environment but unable to do so because of staff shortages and excuses from management. I have become close with my childrens' teachers and they are wonderful, unfortunately their hands are tied. I would love to hire them to be my personal nannies. I will be moving my children out very soon, they can get play time anywhere. I want them to have better then shuffling from room to room as staff and "ratios" permit.

My son and daughter have been with them since they opened. Ballancrest is a new academy and is of course still working out the kinks, but the teachers are really nice and educated, the kids seem really happy and excited to go to school and I get tons of communication so I know exactly what is going on with my children everyday. The curriculum is is good and challenging and we do love that they get music everyday. We do wish that there was a little more parking, but we have been so happy and secure. We have been very happy here and the small and family atmosphere is something we didn't see anywhere else and the owner has taken personal time with my daughter to expand her fine motor skills. We highly recommend Ballancrest!

If you are looking for a child care facility program is o.k. Very small school which is nice but nothing spectacular.

We recently moved our daughter and could not possibly be happier. You will not regret visiting or attending this school! I am a very pleased parent!

My son is four and had never been in preschool before. Within just a few weeks he knows all his letters and is using new words. His manners are so much better and he has started cleaning up after himself. I have always found the teachers to be welcoming, informative and keep the children busy with different activites and experiences all day. Plus, they are flexible with my schedule as I have to pick my son up at different times. I do not know what this person is talking about, but my son is happy and I am thrilled. He even threw a fit this Saturday morning when it wasn't a school day!

Wow! I wasn't sure what to expect, it sounded too good to be true. The staff at Ballancrest Academy really impressed me and I was surprised by their education levels. The curriculum is interesting, they serve organic foods, the director is also the owner and very impressive and they aim the program to nurture the gifted preschool. I had been with Gateway and was unhappy and looked into Chesterbrook and Cranfield as well, but they charge extra for special classes like music and spanish which Ballancrest has included. I think I have found a new home for my two sons. Check it out!
