When I heard that my co-worker took her vehicle to Anthony I decided that I would try him out aswell. I needed a tune-up on my car and couldnt afford al the dealership prices that I was being quoted. After calling him I knew I wanting to give hm a try- my friend had noting but good things to say about him and he beat everyone elses prices. I told him that I could not drop off my car until after work and he even offered to stay late and wait on me. He really seemed like he a lot about cars and he explained everything to me that I didnt understand- being a women that doesnt know much about cars- I felt that was very important to me. The next day my car was ready to be picked up- and it drove like new! I will recommend all of my friends to him and continue to take my vehicle to Mr. Anthony as needed!

I have a 69 Impala SS with a built motor. I was having run time issues. Anthony is a master tech and was able to figure out what no one else could. I would give these guys 20 stars if it was an option.

If you are considering engine work or any auto work at A&R, please consider the my experience. I purchased a friends car with a blown engine and decided to take it to them for engine replacement.

September 2017 - engine replacement

For the next 8 months, I drove it once a week and checked oil/antifreeze levels to make sure everything was good to go. It was my second car. The mileage came to only ~200 miles.

April 2018 - Engine blew up. Even though warranty was 6 months, I calmly approached A&R to see if they could help me out. I simply thought I'd ask. They said they would take a look and I left it with them on April 30th. $3,000 for 200 miles is unacceptable.

Over the next 2 weeks, I called every couple days or so to see if they had looked at the car, they had not. I stopped in after a week, only to be rudely yelled at by Mario, a manager there, claiming I shouldn't be rushing them. Another week later, Anthony took a look and said there wasn't much they could do. I wasn't happy about paying that much for an engine that ran 200 miles, in addition for being yelled at and disrespected over the 2 week period, so I said I would be leaving a bad review.

Miraculously, I receive a call back not even 2 minutes later that they could put one in for $1,000. I thought about it for a little bit and called back to accept the offer, but he told me there would be no warranty. They wanted me to purchase another engine from them with no warranty after the first one lasted 200 miles.

In my opinion, the work done was incompetent, the staff was extremely rude (I was yelled at by both Mario and Anthony, unprovoked), and the place is shady as a whole. I encourage you to take your business elsewhere to avoid the headache and scamming nature of this establishment.

I recommend Compton Automotive or maybe JDM Engine after researching reviews. Don't waste your time and money with A&R, I am trying to save you the disappointment.

This place is a rip off... i will never bring my car back here, or refer any one else to go there. Everyone i send has bad service with the an they prices are through the roof. The Owner allbway try to get over on people thinking the will never find out.

I was referred to A & R when needing a tune up for my vehicle. Great service, reasonable price and was completed in a timely manner! Will definately come back and will refer to my friends as well!!
