        David H. Martin Excavating, Inc. started out in 1968 with one man, a dump truck, and a backhoe. Today we have more than 200 employees, a large fleet of dump trucks and a vast assortment of excavation equipment. Located in south-central PA, just north of Chambersburg, our familiar brown and orange trucks are associated with providing superior excavation and utility services to private and public commercial, residential, and agricultural clients in PA, MD, and WV.

        hey if you want a company that will lie to your face, pay you dirt cheap, send you to the job that is a complete inconvenience (they make you pass 3 closer jobs on you way to work), they let the dumbest people operate while the good people labor, no one likes working there, they don't care about you, good luck getting scale wages, they say they pay you for travel but they measure the distance from the shop so if you would live in harrisburg PA and if they would send you to Fredrick MD you less than a dollar a hour for your travel and you would have 4 hrs a day of unpaid time, if you like paying people to work for them this is the perfect job and all the people that do still work there are very rude towards other people, they are all lazy, and most of the super attendants/ supervisors are dumber than a box of rocks one has never even dove a piece of excavation equipment.

        Martin Driver Causes Damage

        Over 6 months ago a Martin's dump truck was trying to make a delivery to my neighbor and when he became lost, he backed up our driveway and ran over a garden wishing well destroying it and the flowers it contained. David Martin told me to mail him the bill and he would take care of it. I mailed the bill and have followed up with several phone calls but have never received payment nor the courtesy of a return phone call. This truck was on MY property, not making a delivery to me, and destroyed my property, I would think Mr. Martin would be happy to repay me for the damage caused by his driver. I am very unhappy with Martin's and would not recommend them. They will not take responsibility for damage they caused in the amount of $32.00, what would have happened if he backed into my car or my house?
