Nunez Community College is a comprehensive community college offering more than 25 academic programs. Louisiana transfer degrees and articulated programs are available to students who wish to transfer to a four-year university. Transfer programs are available in accounting, allied health, arts, business, culinology, education, finance, hospitality, management, marketing, petroleum services, sciences (biological and physical), and more. The College also offers an array of credit bearing and non-credit technical programs. Non-credit programs are offered through the office of Workforce Development. Popular programs include: business technology; culinary arts; entrepreneurship; general studies; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC); hotel, restaurant, and tourism administration; industrial technology (PTEC); practical nursing; teaching (grades 1-5); and welding.

Nunez Community College offers personalized attention to students on a safe and easily accessible campus. Students receive individualized advising and have access to quality career and transition services. Highly qualified faculty teach small classes, providing students with a friendly and caring learning environment. Free tutoring and academic skill workshops are offered through the Student Success Center. As an open enrollment college, Nunez Community College serves a range of students from high school dual enrollment, to adult learners, and from career changers, to traditional college students. There is no minimum GPA or test score required to enroll. Financial aid is available to those who qualify.
